TV Guide: Kim Zimmer's Upcoming Tell-All Memoir
I CANT WAIT.

Latest Ratings: May 16th-20th
I love how OLTL is kicking ass in the ratings and beating GH. They can pull a 1.1 during sweeps, while AMC is at a 0.8 and they are getting canceled?!

Fuck you ABC.

AMC's last tape date is September 2 according to SOD.
So AMC is only taping about 2-3 weeks ahead? Then someone tell me why the fuck DAYS feels the need to tape 3 MONTHS ahead.
AMC, GH, Y&R all film 3 weeks ahead. OLTL 2 months ahead. DAYS 3 months ahead. Have no idea about B&B.

Could CBS be testing the return of a Saturday night comedy block by moving ROE there?

No. This is the only sitcom that CBS co-produces, and they are just moving it there so they can milk out another season to get enough episodes for syndication. The ratings will be terrible, but will pay off in the long term.

If they were serious about revitalizing Saturdays they would have paired with another comedy. Maybe $@#% My Dad Says or Mad Love or a new show.

Here is an item from the "Careless Whispers" section of this weeek's SOW.

Insiders hint that there's a struggle in the writers' office of one of the two soaps just canceled by ABC. One side wants to bring back as many vets as possible, while the other side wants to focus on the current cast to wrap up the show.
I think it is AMC, they should be planning the end right now. OLTL still has a lot of time left, and I think they will play out all pre-cancellation stuff through at least September/October.

Why? As shitty as the show is (right now) and as volatile as NBC has been in the past with their soap cancellations, DAYS has consistently out performed all 4 of these shows over the last 15 to 20 years in the ratings, its not really that suprising to me that DAYS has outlived at least 3 of them so far.

With new ownership at NBC, DAYS me be luckier than any of the other soaps as far as longevity is concerned moving forward.
It's ratings were horrible in 2007 and 2008, and Jeff Zucker gave Days a death sentence back in 2007. I thought it would only outlive possibly GL. It is still shocking, at least to me that it will outlive all 3 ABC soaps because they own them and always seemed the most concerned about their soaps.

I have accepted the cancellations, but seriously what the hell is ABC thinking?! This line up is going to tank.

If GH goes I will be very suprised that DAYS managed to outlive ATWT and all 3 ABC soaps. Who would've thought ABC would be the first to leave the soap business?
