Going against the flow I guess. I thought today was better than yesterday and yesterday was an Eric day. I wish his scenes had been on today. I would have enjoyed the show as a whole more. The Daniel mentions were nauseating, but I pretended not to be an Ericole fan to try to get through those. The Chloe/Deimos/Maggie/Victor scenes were good although Victor was an ass. The Brady/Nicole scenes were good sans the D mentions. And getting to see Shane made me a very happy camper. I hope the Prague story is over soon though. I'm over it. Let's get Marlena home so she can tend to her broken son ;)
I didn't think today was awful either. I loved the Bricole stuff if I ignored the Daniel undertones. I didn't mind the Chloe scenes either.

I wish the Prague ones would pick up as it is dragging and we have st least another week or two until they're back.
I wish there had only been Daniel undertones. We were subjected to his physical presence, nauseating conversations between him and Nicole, nauseating conversations between Nicole and Brady about him, nauseating conversation between Maggie and Chloe about him,and nasseating conversation between Maggie and Victor about him.
I don't know if Maggie was referring to actually having a child of Daniel living in Salem but she her dialogue made it seem as if she had totally forgotten Parker and Melanie..I truly hope the new writer(s)will allow Daniel to RIP and forgotten like they managed to do with Bo and Will.

It was hilarious when Anne said coinkadink! LOL!

It's sweet how Lucas cares about Anne & how he's confident in her.

I like that Days finds stuff for Anne to do, such as how she worked at the hospital and then she worked at Basic Black and then DJ Wear and now she's working at the Spectator. :cheer:
I like Anne too.A little comedy doesn't hurt the show and she is on enough that she is taking signficant screen time from anyone else. Its not that easy to find a job.I too am happy that Days kept Anne in Salem.

Today's show was an absolute mess!!

As happy as I am that Nicole finally knows she is a mom, that was the most underwhelming baby reveal for Nicole!! I'm now even more certain a shocking twist is coming that Daniel isn't the father and that Eric is! There just has to be a twist because that reveal was lame and not in any way how I imagined, Nicole, of all people learning she is finally a mom! She deserved and fans deserved a massive moment. I feel cheated! #PrayForTwist

I loathe Claire!! She is a spoiled little brat and frankly, I would like to punch her upside the head!

And what a waste of CB and BF's talent by having them talk about color blocking!! I mean REALLY?? That was the stupidest conversation for a soap!

Happy to see Shelle, but they need to rein in their daughter! I can't stand her!
I didn't have a problem with the baby reveal because I liked the set up with Brady being present and facilitating the reveal by Chloe to Nicole while Holly was also there. Nicole being detained as a person of interest in a felonious assault provided a suitable reason for Chloe to retain physical custody of Holly and fight for legal custody without Chloe looking like a total bitch in my opinion.I didn't have a problem with Chloe not letting Nicole hold Holly. In Nicole's emotional state,it might have been difficult to get Holly back from Nicole without a struggle although it might have been a better scene to have Brady talk Nicole into handing over Holly to Chloe until she resolved her legal issues.
I totally agree with your opinion regarding Claire. She was so likeable when she first arrived in Salem. Now I cannot stand her.She gets on every nerve in my body.
I thought the awkward moment between Chad and Gabi played out in their conversation about color blocking and what Chad should wear during his presentation the following day and talking about their kids as way to ease tension. They are still friends and they are going to meet with and without Abby being present so they are going to have to find a way to get past the declarations they made to each other before they learned Abby was still alive and the romantic attraction that might linger even though they are pushing those feelings away.I agree with Gail Winters that there is something in the eyes when BF and CB look at each other. It just appears they really like each other personally.
I also agree that BF is good with the Thomas and Ari twins. When his scenes with Arianna played out I had the thought that he will likely be a great dad when he has his own kids.

Finishing up the episode, and it keeps getting worse.

Did Nicole stab him with a butter knife? Or a fork? I could have sworn she grabbed a fork, but then they showed her with a bloody butter knife. Either way, the whole situation is absurd. The guy was bleeding like he got stabbed with a big ol' butcher knife. LOLZ.

Seriously. The overall writing for the women is terrible. Weepy Nicole, Chloe relenting to Brady's threats (initially), barely conscious Hope, etc. Kayla was slightly better, but still....

"I couldn't betray Daniel." :drunk:

Did I mention Deimos/Nicole are terrible?
Since the viewers were not actually seeing the knife make contact with the hitman, the least they could have done was have Nicole grab a steak knife and show it with the blood on it.
When Chloe said that about betraying Daniel my eyes rolled so hard I wondered if I could possibly sustain an eye cramp. Why couldn't she just say she feared for the baby's safety?I am so sick of the mention of Daniel's name more than a year after he died that I could scream.I am still trying to figure out why the fuck they fired him since they have clearly demonstrated they are not ready to move on from him.I hope they baby is found to be Eric's or anyone other than Daniel so I never have to hear his name.

I was thinking Nicole should have used her outside voice. Yelling would have stopped the assassin right there, but, no, stabbing him makes way more sense.... :blulaugh: :blulaugh:
from what I heard he wasn't in immediate danger...of course this coming from a person who missed the first part...

She could have just screamed
She could have screamed watch out
She probably could have jumped him
Hit him with something
Screamed Fire
Screamed Help
Screamed, hey...why are you creeping up behind Deimos

At least when Sami shot that guy that was coming after Rafe, the guy had a scapel.

I would say her sense of right and wrong are now skewed, but I've known Nicki too long, this is par for the course.
With Sami the guy had the razor/scapel in his hand and had lifted the sheet so the shooting was atleast reasonable.Nicole looked so idiotic,I don't care that Chloe might use it against her in fighting for custody of Holly and I really want her united with her baby.Nicole just looked like a moron today.I hate it.

The set up for Nicole "saving "Deimos is so stupid I cannot believe it.While it was a good set up for Dario to tell the hitman to use his hands no weapon,it seems to me that a hitman would have a weapon on him regardless of whether he planned to use it on the target. Its
ridiculous that a hitman would attempt to kill someone with his bare hands in a public square during business hours where there should be countless employees, customers,or people just causally strolling though the area.It would have made more sense to have Deimos making a telephone call in the park of doom after having paid off the man at that same location. It was also stupid to have Nicole stab him while he was merely walking in Deimos' direction, they should have atleast had the idiot hitman reaching for Deimos before Nicole stabbed him which also would have made Nicole look less ridiculous in the eyes of viewers even if no one else saw the guy reaching for Deimos.

Jen Tilley (ex Theresa) is going to be featured in valentine theme movie in a few weeks, and I find myself hoping I can enjoy the movie without thinking of Theresa while I'm watching it. I was not a fan of Theresa and it's like every time I see the actress that's what I think of.
I didn't like the first lifetime or hallmark movie I saw her in but I did like her as the prosecutor in the recent lifetime "Mommy I didn't do it.".Looking forward to seeing her in the new movie.

While I think Nicole should know about her daughter, I've been able to see chloes pov...And sympathize. So that's over. She knows Nicole isn't unfit. I hope I can sympathize again at some point, but not in this instance.
As long as Nicole remains with Deimos...a convicted murderer...IMO she is unfit to be a mother to Holly.
Let's also remember that he was convicted of murdering someone who looked just like Nicole.
Although he was convicted of the murder,I thought he did not actually murder her,Victor framed him for murder.

I liked Eric's scenes but I was confused also by the pardoned/paroled aspect. Other than his scenes it seemed like a lot of characters just bumping in to each other for a few seconds. I agree that Marlena should be upset Roman never told her Eric was out. But why did Marlena not call or visit is another question.
I heard Eric say parole.Only a govenor/president can pardon an inmate.Makes sense that the hospital administrators and politician would use their influrence with the parole board to get Eric a parole. The fact that they allowed an inmate to leave prison and speak to a person who is suicidal speaks volumes. If the woman had been injured or died as a result of Eric being brought into the situation, there would have been hell to pay..
In the beginning of the show he said parole (as did the cop and Hope).

At the end he said the governor pardoned him, because the girl Eric saved was the governor's daughter.

The script was so, so sloppy today.

It might be different if I believed that the characters Eric and Hope didn't know the difference and used the words incorrectly and interchangeably, but I don't. She's a cop. He's the son of a cop. They'd know.

I did more research when I wrote a fanfic about Eric being in prison than the Days writing team did for the actual show.
I missed Eric saying he was pardoned.I thought he said the woman's father was a council man or something not the govenor. Its one thing when there are contradictory statements on different days. Its ridiculous that one cannot remember what was written for a script for one episode.Perhaps GV forgot his lines and Days being Days they just let it go rather than shoot the scene again.

Not liking what they're doing with Eric This Eric has been there since the moment Greg became Eric like Iyanla can you fix his life so he can smile Lordi and be happy :(
I can live with his attitude since he has only been out of prison for a few weeks but I hate the way he looks. He looks like a skinhead/meth dealer/mobster minion.

Abby tells Chad he doesn't have to tell her every time she sees Gabi
I'm happy the writers had him tell Abby.It would have looked as if he was sneaking around behind Abby's back,if he hadn't.Until Chad and Abby are on more solid footing in their relationship,it makes sense for him to tell Abby about any meetings with Gabi and the reason(s).

Prison changed Nick and appears to have changed Eric.I want the old Eric back with a little edge perhaps not dark Eric.
Poor guy if ever a guy had a reason to go dark side it's Eric. PTSD from Africa, hopped head tries to kill him twice, Raped, had to make a choice to set his rapist free, loses his vocation, the love of his life lies to him, his stepbrother hated him, his mother unknowingly shows the world him getting raped, then he gets a little buzz on and kills Jonas christ and the he loses the love of his life and his freedom.
Just about everyone in Salem has gone through enough crap to justify going to the dark side.I don't have a problem with Eric having an edge,I just don't want dark Eric at all or for any significant period of time.

Makes sense to me for Rafe to be in Prague since he has FBI/police/private investigator experience and John not being available.Rafe also has history with Anna,Austin, and Carrie which is playing out in ways that allow Anna,Austin, and Carrie to shine.

I guess I'd agree about the big leap if they hadn't gone out of their way to show that Jade doesn't have a lot of other options. I mean if she could go home, or had other family to stay with, or something like that, then I'd say they were stepping up unnecessarily. And I know she turned them down, but it's clear that Joey is pushing this and Kayla (and Steve) are trying to support him, by helping support Jade.

So no, they didn't have to do this. And yes, it's not something everybody would do. But, again, I don't think it's that much of a reach given Steve and Kayla's history.
She has an aunt in California. She should go back to the commune and live with her aunt. Problem solved.
I didn't like the commune story with Joey,Jade, and the aunt so I really didn't watch it closely but I thought the commune was raided because of the thefts/robberies and the aunt arrested. Can anyone remember what happened with the commune and Jade's aunt?
