This guy will be on #daysofourlives tomorrow! FINALLY! Cannot wait!!! #b614

What is b614? Is that a code that DAYS uses for something?

I still think this actor might be playing a DiMera Enterprises board member.
I am just happy that he is not a recast of Cameron.

Does anyone know how tall is KDP.She looked much taller than MR in their scenes and the same with JL.I must admit I enjoyed their scenes today.

Unfortunately you're right. None of the soaps tell stories like they used to. Part of the problem is that they use to have more time for the show and less commercials. That still doesn't excuse the writers. Speaking for myself, I've enjoyed the EJabby affair story. It brought me back to watching Days. Of course it can't be compared to the Jarlena story.
I was watching the show but the EJ/Abby affair made me enjoy watching and look forward to upcoming episodes to see their next meeting/hook up.Too bad JS left.I really wanted bad man/semi good girl story.
So, is this a thing? Why do people like bad man/ good girl storylines? And do people not like bad girl/ good man storylines then? And if so, why? I'm asking this just to understand. lol.
For the most part I root for the good person/hero/heroine with feet of clay over the bad guy/villain.I just find it romantic when the bad person/villain changes and becomes a somewhat better person because of their love for another person. It might be a hangover from my Harlequin romance novel days.

Sami's hair and dress looked like shit today. A wet hair look with a leftover mini dress from a witch's Halloween costume. Dreadful. Maybe it was supposed to express how she was feeling about her impending wedding? I doubt it though knowing how Days rolls.
That was Friday's show.Sami wasn't on today but you aptly summed up her look.Hope that dress and hair are gone but tomorrow since the wedding either starts/begins then.

I haven't really been following but does Rafe feel guilty for sleeping with Kate?
If he has shown any guilt, its been too subtle for me to detect. It appears to me that he has totally forgotten it happened.

Comparing the Jarlena affair and the Ejabby one just shows how far Days' storytelling has fallen. Jarlena was a complex, angsty love story that culminated with a passionate encounter that was years in the build-up. That's what made the reveal so emotional and gripping. And it wasn't just the reveal that was compelling, as the impact was felt across relationships for years to come. That story had serious teeth. The Ejabby affair was a ratings stunt that lasted for about a month and, accordingly, the reveal and resulting impact are going to be so minor in comparison. The two stories aren't even in the same stratosphere.
I think its impossible to have equivalency with storytelling in the past. When is the last time any show has done any story line that developed over a period of years? I just don't think we will see that kind of storytelling again.Look at the number of comments on the lack of movement in the Jordan storyline.
The issue with Jordan's storyline isn't the time it's taking, it's the lack of movement. It's perfectly possible to do longer story arcs nowadays if a writer has a long-term vision and can play the beats along the way. I'd argue that the most popular storyline of the last 7 years (ratings-wise) was the babyswitch and that took over a year to play out.
You hit the nail on the head.Seven years ago, although I thought it was five. One storyline on one soap in a five to seven year time span does not a trend make.

Friday
Sparks fly when Aiden and Hope share a romantic dance.
Abigail's worst nightmare comes true.

So based on this I'm sure the Ejabby reveal happens at the Gala
I thought the possible pregnancy was her worst nightmare.

I just squealed. And I never squeal at a Hope spoiler. -*sigh*. Yessssss. Bring this ON!!!
The spoiler is the main reason I love the yearly gala that we are seeing for the first time.Working on the gala is a great way to put Hope and Aiden together in non adversarial scenes allowing them to get to know each other as parents and inviduals and become friendly towards one another which I believe would not otherwise be possible given that Hope is a police officer and Aiden an attorney.

Edit:Cannot wait to see what Hope wears to the gala.
I completely agree. As much as the gala planning has mostly been filler, in that it's really not high-drama, it's been the perfect way to get Hope & Aiden interacting on a regular basis & getting to know each other without constantly being in contrived situations. We also got to see a bit of Aiden's softer side & his plotting/manipulative side. We still don't know too much about his wife's death, but we've gotten a few small hints along the way.
I really want the gala to go off without anyone creating unnecessary drama - so no Kristen appearing, no Sami sharing EJabby's affair with the world, etc. I'm not saying there can't be conflict. I just don't want anything hijacking the gala & making it about them (& thus taking away from Hope & Aiden).
I'm with you.I don't mind seeing stuff "seething beneath the surface" of Salemites but I want it to actually stay beneath the surface until the gala is over or nearly over.

That's probably why they're airing in July sweeps...
I thought someone posted that the advertising dollars come in during May and November sweeps so why would they wait until July?
Because it's still a sweeps month as is February.
I don't know much about how the sweep periods.I just got the impression that May/November sweep periods are more important to shows. Are all the sweep periods equal or is there some hierarchy? If so,what is it?

LOL, well I don't know, it's just a guess. Maybe she went to go well at him for being a gangster.
I must admit the show will have me tuning in daily for the next two (2) weeks.Even with the all the spoilers, there are still quite a few unanswers questions including Sami and Kate's plan,Stefano/Sami/Kate,Stefano/Kate,Sami/EJ,Nicole/EJ,Abby/EJ,and what Hope wears to the gala. Its strange they did not air these episodes during May sweeps.

EJ tries to convince Abigail to cooperate with him.
I can't recall whether it was previously revealed but has any site spoiled when EJ gets out of jail? I am trying to imagine a scenario that gives rise to an EJ/Abby conversation after his marriage and arrest and I simply cannot.Same for EJ/Nicole.I guess I will just enjoy the scenes while they last and when they are over, they are over.I must admit I am happy to get EJ/Nicole and EJ/Abby scenes before EJ leaves Salem but the mind boggles as to how they could possibly occur under the circumstances.Since there is no EJ/Abby reveal,EJ and Sami are married, and EJ has been arrested for God knows what, one would think the newlyweds would be sticking to each other like glue.
That spoiler happens the same day that Sami makes a "massive, game-changing move" so my guess is EJ is still in jail while Sami is making her move in the DE board meeting.
Abby is visiting EJ in jail????? How does that happen?? What explanation can she give for visiting EJ in jail?? Mind boggling.

Edit:Mind boggling and stupid.

Maybe the Nicole-EJ spoiler is actually about Eric? Since the ship has sailed on Nicole turning over the evidence that she found, maybe she's trying to re-gather the goods on Kristen. Helping EJ in return for clearing Eric.

*sigh* This freaking show.
How can Nicole help EJ? I cannot think of anything she can do that would help him nor do I think he would turn on Kristin to help Eric or anyone else for that matter.

I've been meaning to ask this about the gala: are we sure everyone is going to be attending it?
I know it makes absolutely no sense, but I wish WilSon was attending the gala. I don't get to see them nearly enough for my liking. If Daniel is there, I'm going to be so annoyed. He doesn't belong there either!
If Sami and EJ attend,Will and Sonny could leave Arianna with whoever is babysitting Ali,Johnny, and Sydney,Hopefully not Abby.

SOD: "Garden Party" (Sami/EJ wedding)

I can't help but think Rafe arriving after the wedding is some how Sami's doing. She needs to marry Ej to carry out her plan but I can't see her passing up this opportunity to completely humiliate Abby in front of everyone by exposing her secret. It would also give her an excuse not to have a honeymoon night, as well as leverage, if the affair is exposed and she can act like it's a shock to her. It just makes no sense that Rafe would suddenly stumble onto some incriminating evidence about EJ the day of the wedding.

I think Sami has known about the affair for a very long time and has been toying with Ej and Abby all along. It was so odd that Sami asked Abby if she was pregnant when Abby wasn't seeing anyone at the time. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if Nick sent the photos to Sami and it was Sami who sent them to the Dimera Mansion to see if Ej would tell the truth or to make him squirm. Sami needed Ej to protect her and Will from Nick so it would make sense she wouldn't say anything right away but still torture them as she formulated a plan. Maybe when Kate told her that Ej had come to her office all frazzled Sami brought Kate into her plan.

Sami is playing with fire to think she can get one over on Stefano. I would love to see Sami and Kate take over DE and then Stefano go after Sami. Ej steps in to protect her, winning her over once again, and together they go on the run, with their kids, to escape Stefano's wrath. I can't imagine what they will do with the kids if one is killed and the other goes to jail. Plus Ej getting shot has been done to death.
There isn't much on the show that hasn't been "done to death" even death has been done to death.Stefano, anyone? Sami and EJ already went on the run after Stefano was "killed" although the wonderful parents were leaving the kids behind that time. That being said I'm okay with EJ getting shot before anyone goes on the run.
Welcome to the discussion.
