Yes, but Billy is weak, so he wants them both.
True and that's why I don't understand why Phyliss is even interested.
Why? Because of the chemistry  !

Oh, and it didn't look like he wanted them both (at this point, at least). He got especially mad after Travis said something like "are things not going well with your new girlfriend or something?".

JT is great with kids (onscreen lol).
I really hope this doesn't mean another vomit worthy Villy edition.
That was my first thought, too.

I don't think so this time around. He was never obsessed with any of the others, the way he is with Phyllis. He's moved on.
If he's moved on he should leave Travis alone and stay out of Victoria's business.
I haven't watched the whole show yet, but maybe at that moment he was alone, unhappy and angry at the whole world, especially people who seemed to be happy.
Happens sometimes lol.

Any chance anyone has the links to 6-28-16 - 6-30-16 episodes (not on CBS)? Could you share it with me via PM, please :cloud9: ?

As hot as Philly are, I just can't with them anymore. Billy feels no remorse for what he's doing to Jack and Phyllis thinks she's cheating on Billy with Jack.

This tells a lot where her feelings are lol. :wub2:

Adding onto my above post. I'm all for Phyllis having a hot affair.
But I'd rather it was with someone else.

Chemistry isn't enough for me.

It's the most important thing to me because it's so rare. And it's so exciting to watch.

Btw, she had a hot affair with Ronan lol.

Edited to add: I don't think it's just chemistry. It's the story as well. When I watch the show I just feel the connection between the characters. (the post above was my attempt to rationalize why I feel the way I feel).
Phyllis also had an affair with Nick while he was still married to Sharon, LOL!
And I agree with you that chemistry is very important, it makes all the difference in love scenes because you feel
a connection between the characters and I feel it between this Billy & Phyllis. It's also nice to see love in the afternoon
for a change, there is so little of it, these days on soaps...
The last time I felt this excited was on DAYS with the EJ & Abby's affair and way back with the John & Marlena's affair.
It is rare indeed!
I so agree. The two other soaps I watch (Days, GH) are so bad at romance/love stories right now.
The Philly story is so exceptional in this context: a great buildup (I was watching some fan made Philly videos on YouTube and it reminded me of how many convincing bonding scenes there were between the characters before it even came to the first kiss). It's great. We are also very lucky to have two actors who are not only very strong with the emotional stuff but also have incredible chemistry and work so well together (I watched their scenes multiple times and there wasn't one single face expression that was off, it's flawless and so very believable).

On another note, I'm sad that Dr. Neville is leaving, because he has good chemistry with Ashley(that word again, LOL!).
Eileen Davidson(Ashley) is not only beautiful but she is a wonderful actress and she can play good girl/bad girl equally well,
just like she can play dramatic as well as funny scenes(Kristen/Susan on DAYS).
Why isn't her talent being used more on Y&R?
ICAM! Simon/Ashley had real potential. Days was better at utilising ED's talents than Y&R.
I have no idea why they dropped the pairing. Maybe they didn't see much potential for the drama? Idk about the chemistry, they just didn't have enough scenes for me to see that.
I miss her so much on Days, I wish she switched the shows.

For those of you who are Billy & Phyllis fans, I believe you'll enjoy tomorrow's show(Thursday, June 30th), I've seen
it already.

I am a Philly fan and I think I'm going to go crazy lol. I'm out of town and can't find a link to watch the show since 6-28-16. I'm so desperate, I'm checking the most used video sites like every 30 min.
Why is this happening now :frustration: when I finally started to enjoy this show so much!!!

Wow! These spoilers sound so good! The Ian stuff is surprising.
Who'll come to the rescue? I'd vote for Billy. But it's too good to be true

Whatever it is between Haiden (playing, not playing) it's boring to watch. And Rope is even worse.

Say what you want about some of the decisions Corday makes, but he definitely deserves this. This show wouldn't be on the air if it wasn't for Corday.
Yes, quite honestly, he has managed to still keep the show alive for many years and he has managed to keep "the suits" happy most of the time. ;) Either way, I wonder if this might be Days last year, the soap does not attract current / new viewers and the show's fans seem to not be satisfied with what is shown on screen so who knows an era might be over soon. ?
Re: "the soap does not attract current / new viewers". How do we know what viewers are watching - new or old? Low number in demos? It's a general trend for all soaps and all TV shows in general. The younger audience either watches less tv or watches it in ways that aren't counted by Nielsen. We can't say it's only Days problem.

^ dear PatNS. you get bonus pay for staying awake to watch and transcribe today.

I haven't even attempted to watch this.

I fell asleep twice while trying to read this thread!
I fell asleep watching the show and then there was Hope's scream... I literally jumped (in horror lol).

Dumb story, dumb dialogue but I think Ximena is very likable onscreen.

I know the obvious answer is that they're stupid, but what possible benefit did they ever think there would be in pushing Haiden back together this quickly and this easily? On what planet was that a good idea?
No buildup seem to be their usual way to write any story, especially what they probably see as a romance. Another example is Deimos being "in love" with Nicole. When did that even happen? I saw nearly nothing on- screen.

I like JT. I just don't think he's portraying the character of Billy Abbott. The character might have that name but this isn't like any Billy Abbott I know.
This Billy is being written in a way that I can't root for. Too callous for me.

I love Phyllis.
I loved Michelle Stafford's Phyllis and I love Gina T's Phyllis.

I love it when Phyllis has fire.
But ... I don't like her with Billy because this Billy feels fake to me.

I haven't seen the right man for Phyllis yet.
I don't think it's Jack and I don't think it's Billy.

#FreePhyllis.
IMO both characters are written and portrayed very different after they were recast (I'd say, especially, Phyllis). However, I like these different characters perhaps even more than I loved the original ones (as portrayed by MS and BM), especially Billy.

What I love right now is the buildup for Philly, it was/is such a classic soap. I never knew it was still possible to write a story like this in 2016. I've been regularly watching Y&R since 2011, and to me this is the best romance/love story I've seen on this show (and on all the other shows I've been watching the last 5 years). They've invested so much time in it, and it was so worth it.

I love how well Gina Tognoni and Jason Thompson work together. I love the emotions I see onscreen. Both actors are very strong re: this particular aspect. Their onscreen chemistry is amazing, IMO. I'm so invested in this pairing and at the same time so afraid they'll destroy it LOL.

Phyllis is much more vibrant and less matronly (I kinda saw it as some kind of a problem) with Billy than she was before this "love affair". I enjoy immensely the soft side of Phyllis Gina Tognoni portrays so well. Her Phyllis is a very strong woman with this incredibly sweet softness when in love.

Love love love everything about this story and it's impact to the characters. :wub2: :wub2: :wub2:

I agree with this assessment of Phyllis that I quoted in italics. Yeah she was previously written too matronly, and I'm glad she's got some fire back ...but ...

But I thoroughly disagree with the rest of your post because ..
A) I don't believe that either of them is in love. At All.
B) I loathe this version of Billy.
Re: Phyllis/Billy being in love.

There are several different perspectives IMO.

1. Pragmatic perspective.
It's a fictional show and writers decide what happens and what it is that we see ( love or something else etc.). There's nothing natural there. I can totally imagine Pratt (or someone else in his place), Young, McDaniel (or other PTB) sitting around the table and deciding what to do next: "Oh, see the pairing is positively received, let's make them a legit couple", or "well this would be boring, let's write it as a mistake/rebound, they just thought they were in love, let's go back to Billy/Victoria'. Or something like that.
I mean, from this perspective as a viewer, I'm not the one that decides what it is and what it will become (love or not).

2. Real life perspective.
If we analyze the show as some kind of a real life experience, my position is, no matter what I think if someone says they're are in love, I believe they're. I mean who am I to tell that someone isn't in love if they think they are. People are different and our concept of love varies as well. This is very problematic - people fall in love, marry, have children, divorce. Is love gone? Or maybe it wasn't love after all? It's difficult to answer, it's subjective.
From this perspective if a character says he/she is in love he/she is in love until it's stated otherwise LOL.
Again, as a viewer I'm not the one to make the decision what it is.

3. "The show as an art form for interpretation" perspective.
Now, as viewers we are free to interpret what we see or decide whether to believe what the show is trying to sell us or not. First, everyone has a somewhat different concept of what love is and how people fall in love, so our perception of what we see on-screen is different. We also prioritise different things. When we watch the show we have at least two dimensions to take into account - writing (script) and acting. I can only speak from my own perspective. What is for me, personally, the most import thing to see two characters as being in love? Yeah, I think, it's usually called chemistry. A very vague word lol.
It's difficult to explain but I think for me it's some kind of consonance (?) (harmony?) of non-verbal signals actors send when sharing scenes.
From this perspective as a viewer I can totally see that Billy and Phyllis are in love because the right signals are present. In other words, the way GT and JT play their scenes, I see Billy and Phyllis as in love. That's what matters me the most.

Pratt&Co may decide otherwise, though.
