I find myself not caring about Bristen scenes anymore since we know ED is leaving. If I didn't know any better, I'd think the dynamic between those two has slightly changed as well since EM probably knew of ED's departure by this point. That could just be my own bias working in there though. I dunno.

Either way, it needs to be said once more......I HATE Days taping so far ahead.
If it's bias, then I'm biased too, because I think the dynamic between Eric and Eileen has changed, and it has resulted in a noticeable difference in the Bristen dynamic. I absolutely believe it happened when Eric found out Eileen was leaving.
I have to admit that this thought crossed my mind, too.

Watched the Bristen scenes. Way cheesy but I loved it still. This is going to end horribly, lol. Nicole was awesome. And so was Marlena with her face pat at the end. Looked like a good eppi from those scenes :)
As much as I like Bristen as a couple I have to say that the writing doesn't do them any favour at all. In most scenes the dialogue seems too shallow and kinda primitive.
The only thing which makes their scenes convincing IMO is the undeniable romantic/sexual chemistry between ED and EM. At least I'm greatly enjoying watching it. If they'll just put some effort in the scripts...

On the other hand when was it that any of Days romantic couples had some deep meaningful dialogue?

Harold doesn't need to retire when everyone gives him the day off every 5 seconds. :blulaugh:

omg kristen's face when Marlena barged in was hilarious.
And on Tuesday we'll finally get to watch those scenes Eileen and Deidre tweeted about on May 1st (about "screaming", "Good Sport Award" etc.).
Will Kristen just stand and take it this time?

I was wondering if they chose today's "Hawaii" stuff because of this or because they forgot about this:

Why? Is she already back at YR?
Yes, for three episodes.

Days should have done something similar to what GH did with the Lulu recast...
I still can't get into New Lulu!
For God's sakes, just no GHish flashbacks with the new Will, please. This was all kinds of embarrassing  .

NOOOOOOOOOOO! Kristen > Ashley.

Lol, at least it's only for 3 episodes though.
Well, that's the thing. It's not concrete. I'm hoping that somehow it can be worked out that Davidson can actually do both shows when the story calls for it. For example, bring Kristen on for two-three months at a time to play out a particular arc and then have her go over to Y&R to play Ashley for a bit. It's a win-win for Davidson. She has a flexible schedule, can work whenever she wants, and can play both Kristen and Ashley at the same time. Stefano was always in/out back in the 1980's to keep the character from turning grey.
This is what I'm hoping for. Maybe SONY can arrange that?
But as soapcentral states "the door will reportedly be left open for a more substantial return at a later date", so this may as well mean Y&R full-time.
I'm glad to see Eileen/Ashley on Y&R, but I'll miss her on Days as Kristen much much more!

I'm just hoping to see her back on Days some time in not so distant future, one can hope, can't one?

No, I totally get it, and you're right lol. She *has* been on the most, I think she's led at least three months of cast listings.

I just didn't want to pretend to be enjoying the show and instead said how I felt about the matter.

Plus it is combined with the fact that I have already started to picture how this show will look without her, and in my mind, it isn't a very interesting picture to me. Hopefully I will be proven wrong, time will tell.
the show has survived many years without her and will do so again once she leaves. if the show picks up the pace and starts telling more interesting/exciting stories, then it'll keep people watching, even if they only returned to the show because of Kristen.
Yes, the show might survive, but as I was talking about *myself* here, *I* may not be interested in watching.

And yes, the show has done pretty well, actually better than ever, even with other characters such as Hope, without having a storyline. :)

Have a nice day.
I actually feel the same way. But no matter how much I'm enjoying every minute the character is on, after ED left and primarily because of the workload and schedule (at least from what was stated) I think I would have been and would be happy enough to see Kristen 1-2 times a week (or even less) if this was/would be necessary for her to stay at Days for longer or to come back after a break to the show. Now it looks like the show really overworked her. Sad. :'(

Maybe Kristen exits Salem and frames someone for her apparent death, which leaves the door open for later returns but lets her go out with a bang for now. Just a thought.

I doubt there will be any "later returns" for Kristen. I'm slowly accepting that ED is gone and never coming back. I give it 6 months tops before we hear of her popping up on that other show. You know which one I'm referring to.

Better say goodbye now.
Maybe you are right about that. But I'm still thinking and hoping if the problems really are as stated in interviews TPTB at Days (and Sony) are capable of solving them if they don't wait too long and make some active "moves" to get ED back, and make them sooner rather than later. I simply refuse to accept that they can't normalize/balance her workload so that it would be acceptable to her or can't afford to pay the same for less episodes because it's worth it. But maybe it's too much to hope for.
She did sound excited during her return to Y&R in February and expressed her willingness to return to this show recently but the current situation there, especially with the HW out, is quite vague. However, it won't last forever and it can go either way.

I gotta think the whodunit murder is Kristen. For a whodunit, you need lots of characters that want the victim dead and the only people in Salem that fit that description right now are Kristen and Stefano. And I doubt they make Stefano the victim in a murder mystery since they did that just last year.
It makes sense. But wasn't it said earlier (SOD?/ KC?) there will be some mystery coming with Willson & co involved?
Or maybe "who dunnit" and this mystery s/l are different ones.

No actually, it wasn't. He never head wrote for for Ashley Abbott. He has absolutely absolutely nothing nothing to do with with her being at Y&R or not being at Y&R.
Not that it's of any relevance but Josh Griffith has been pretty vocal in his 2012 interview about wanting Eileen Davidson ( as Ashley) back. And it was reported that he was the one who asked her to come back during the Writers' strike she just was let to believe it was MAB.

TV Guide Magazine: Yikes, sounds ominous. Will this, as Jill Phelps promised, help shore up the sadly dwindling Abbott clan?

Griffith: We need that family back. I'm really sorry Eileen Davidson [Ashley] is gone. If there's anyone I would bring back immediately if I could, it's Eileen. In fact, if you remember, bringing Ashley back to town was the first thing I did during the writers strike. I hear Eileen is having great success at Days of Our Lives so I don't know if I'll ever have a chance to get her back. But I can hope. So, yes, we will rebuild the family and it'll need to be done via the younger characters. Billy [Billy Miller] is going to be very involved in Jack's story. There will be quite a conflict between them.

Yes, I know that, but none of that matters, that was my point in the first place. The HW is not the one who makes the decisions on who to hire and who to not. They should be able to have a say in it, IMO, but they don't make the call. The EP does, which in this case means JFP. And I'm sure that was one of the main reasons for the falling out between these two. JFP makes the decisions and also approves things that JG has done, storylines, etc. I don't think JG has ever had the freedom to really do what he wanted.

For this reason it shouldn't be listened to too carefully or taken that seriously when a HW says something in an article, because they never make the final decisions. The same goes with GH, where everyone is always calling out on RC and shaming him.
It was just my answer to the statement that comments about ED in this thread have nothing to do with the discussion about JG leaving Y&R :D , because, I think, they have.

As far as I am concerned, I'm watching both "Y&R" and "Days" and I would be very very happy if Eileen will decide to return to "Days" because she (and her character) is of great importance for the show and very very entertaining. It's a blast to watch. But as it was mentioned before, this thread is not about Days, so I'll appologize and shut up before somebody shuts me up ;) .

Since she slept with Eric against his will, I don't see Eric being removed from the priesthood.
Definitely not. Even consensual sex (except with someone under age) doesn't lead to defrocking a priest (it can happen only in those cases when the "sinner" is not repentant). Repentance is a core thing there.
But that's all in real life, and this is a soap.

Sounds like Eric is going to perform the Bristen wedding....

Kristen, destroy the tape!
seriously. If she's not pregnant, it's the only thing linking her to Eric's "illness". She's a complete dunce if she continues to keep it now.
can we be sure there are no other evidence left, like video camera memory cards, original (unedited) footage etc.?
