So Boardroom Showdown is predicated on the idea that Kate doesn't research the owners of companies she seeks to takeover. *facepalm*

Stefano will obviously win because he has the bigger swivel chair. Salem Boyz Club: Winning Everything Since 1965.

Not an original thought, but Brady really does look like he's in bed with his little sister. They're awful.

The way Victor is still revered as a "good guy" kind of irks me when his competitors are all town pariahs. His relationship with Maggie is truly baffling. Despite his endless displays of mysoginy, he has always been drawn to strong, independent women. What happened with this one?

Watched about 70% of today's show...I'm must be growing more patient with age.

Eve is just such a vapid, awful character. She literally has *nothing* in her life but this affair and an unhealthy obsession with her daughter. Other than her enviable ability to wear a tight dress, she adds no entertainment value to this show (for me).

Theresa is a different story - slightly. To me, she has more layers as a character, but her being in this episode purely for comedic effect was kind of embarrassing. Give her something more, please.

I loved the Kate and Victor scenes; those two are always great together. For some reason, I don't give a shit about Kate and Chad's relationship. The writers want it to be this mentor/mentee/mother/son/co-conspirator kind of thing, and I just don't buy it. I was on a break from the show during the whole Madeline thing, so maybe that's why. Or maybe it's because Chad just seems like a rich frat boy douche bag, and I just want Kate to destroy his smug bro-face. Yeah, that's probably it.

I'm so glad Joe Mascolo is back, but oy, was it awkward watching him struggle to turn that chair around. A reminder that villains like Clyde - though never able to match the greatness of Stefano - are desperately needed.

This sounds like an enjoyable episode overall. Plus my darlings Kate and Clyde are on. Why oh why isn't it in YouTube yet???

Question of the week: What do you do when you can't cry on cue? Who do they ask from Days? Guy Wilson. He says, "I think the trick is less is more. If you're present in the moment, and keep your eyes nice and wide open, people can see in. Generally, people will feel that pain for you if you can't necessarily show it. Be still and let the audience do the work for you".

Lastly, under "You said it", L and R.F. said, The only way the viewers could possible tolerate the nauseating storyline with DAY's JJ and Eve is to have 'Mrs. Robinson" playing every time they have sex".
Um, his 'acting tips' make no sense. Keeping your eyes wide doesn't make a you talented actor, it makes you look crazy. ''Let the audience do the work for you'' - who hired him, seriously?

The music played during JJ and Eve's scenes is hilariously bad. And maybe it's just me, but I find Brady and Melanie more nauseating than Jeve.
"Let the audience do the work for you."

I'll cut him a tiny bit of slack, because it's obvious this is an acting coach platitude that he's regurgitating...probably incorrectly.

Ha! I was in LA a few months ago and thought the same thing when I saw that sign.

LOVE THIS!!! I can't wait to watch Kate bought down.
Brought down for what?

Doing all the things that Victor and Stefano do on a regular basis...?

I love the characters involved, but it's just all so...generic. The cubical-sized set, the dentist-office lighting, the nondescript corporate takeovers (what the hell IS DiMera Enterprises?) - just...meh.

I'll watch, because again, I LOVE these characters*, but I have low expectations.

Quoting limited to 4 levels deep
Hope to God that Clyde dies the next time someone tries to kill him. Sick of this bastard. He had EJ killed , he stabbed Sonny, he raped his stepdaughter Jordan, he mentally abuses her still to this day to make her feel guilty for killing her mother when it was just a damned carwreck.
And there's no clarity around whether or not he raped Jordan.

He pretty much admitted he did when he was talking with Jordan on Friday.
Oh ferreal?! What did he say?

That sucks if true. Makes him less complex and interesting.

It's odd to take it down unless we are getting another fakeout death for Clyde or he leaves town for a while then comes back. Otherwise I don't get it. Yeah, we have been speculating but there is no real indication that he isn't around so I don't know if the show would request that she take it down.
Dan and Kayla were operating on someone in a pic recently. I wonder if that ties in.
And that could also explain AbbY's multiple scenes with Kayla: she's there for Ben because Clyde has been injured.

He didn't have EJ killed. His lackey did - without his blessing. And there's no clarity around whether or not he raped Jordan.

I'm not pointing that out in an effort to polish soot off his halo. I love him as a villain; just clarifying what's been on screen.
