Lady, you are correct. I think some people look at Obama and think JFK and it's like "whoa whoa". Don't vote for a guy because he gives great speeches and looks good in a suit. Take time to learn the issues on both sides.

I gotta believe there are some daytime celebrities out there who are McCain backers.
HMM I didn't know people thought that,I never once thought JFK when seeing Obama,I will vote for him because I trust and agree with everything he says, not because he could remind be of a person thats stupid.
Hey John, I should have clarified that Obama reminds a lot of people of JFK, just the speeches he gives and the turnout he gets. It wasn't my intention to make the post political. :)

I think he does give good speeches. I may not agree with all of his policies, but the man is charismatic.

I just pray that it stays a serious conversation between actors and fans about political views and not be reduced to some fan-gurl fest, i.e., "Who cares about all this politic stuff, when do we get a JaSam wedding and baby????" "I looooooove JLex!" etc. etc.

I'm almost afraid to look even though I would LOVE to hear this.
Full disclosure -- I'm not an Obama supporter, but I don't think you have to worry. There is a lot of interest in this year's election among people who have not taken part in the process before and I think you'll find people willing to discuss the issues.

Regardless of who wins, we've brought more people to the table. That's the first step toward getting involved in your country.

OLTL: Did Bree Williamson get married?
And there are cases where sometime the second time is the charm (divorcing your first husband and marrying a high school/college sweetheart, and the marriage lasts over 30 years, etc.)

Interesting to see how this turns out. Wonder if she knew Michael previously?

The Who killed Trent Thread
I agree. The sight of Caroline being put in jail alone will have to be heartbreaking for the Bradys.

The Who killed Trent Thread
The three people I think are most likely to have killed Trent:
1. Claude.
2. Claude.
3. Claude.

It's so gratingly obvious. However, I will applaud Days if it's someone else AND the reasoning makes sense. :)

Forbes March Headed To DAYS?
Wowee. I just cast Forbes on Somerset. I wonder who I can cast next to get them a real job...

BYRNE AFTER READING
Noelle has done a decent job playing Lily, but she'll never be Martha. Pure and simple. And I think even Noelle herself would say it. :)

Suds Report — AMC Babe out? Rowell update
I think the East Coast newcomer may be the one that plays Dani on ATWT. She's got the looks to pull it off, plus it wouldn't be the first time a casting call happened like that. (If anyone here personally knows the actress and it's not her, tell her sorry... lol)

Put it this way... for all those of us who write on DRTV, Soap Opera Network, etc.

Say you've written a strong scene or two. You put your heart and soul and one hour into writing a really strong scene that you think resonates with the audience.

Then you go online after you've posted your material and find someone's changed your dialogue and stage manners, lessening the impact of the scene.

Wouldn't you be pissed? I know I would. That's why I'll staunchly defend the WGA position. Whoever was at fault here has to be punished somehow. Yes, you may not care about the writer or the writing (and I'm not Dena's biggest fan, let's put it this way), but the guild is the guild.
I understand empathizing with the writers, but how about the actors and fans?

These actors have invested a good part of their lives in their characters. As a fan, I've invested a good deal of my life in these characters. Now because Higley is a writer, it's perfectly fine if she comes in and trashes these characters and history that I love because she's lazy and talentless? The way she writes they may as well new actors playing these characters. If I had played a character for fifteen years or more, I think as a person, I'd be incensed over them just killing that character.

This is not a black and white, 'it's wrong' issue imo. They have rules for a reason, but sometimes there are extenuating circumstances. Killing someone is a crime, but if it's self-defense, it's not. There ARE extenuating circumstances in life. IMO, Higley is murdering a good many characters during her reign of terror. I, for one, am glad Ed tried to do something to stop her, and if Ali, or MBE, or SN, or anyone tried to save these wonderful characters against a talentless hack, more power to them. I wish ALL of the cast would rebel. I'm sure there may have been better ways for them to handle this, but I have no idea what all went on behind the scenes. It seems like Corday wants the show to fail, and some cared enough that they didn't want that to happen. I just can't be upset with people who love it as much as I do and tried to save it. It doesn't mean I want actors to write the show, but I'm saying I can understand their temptation and utter frustration.

Writers aren't the only ones who should have rights. I guess the WGA doesn't care about quality at all, but maybe they should.

Kyrai, you're right on that remark too! I support the guild position, but some writers indeed make it difficult. ;)

Better yet still, how about we keep the useless piece of *** off the show?

I better stick to the code of chivalry here, sorry. :)

GL: SOD/SOW Tidbits
This version of Jeva does nothing for me. And I'm not even that huge a Reva/Josh fan. I know many who are, though.

SOD: ATWT - Interview with Barbara Bloom
Methinks Chris Goutman has forgotten he used to ACT on these shows at one time. Don't bite the hand that fed you so well. :)

Didn't they xray her chest before her last surgery? Oh well, I guess Dena forgot to xray Kate last time.
That means nothing.

I've known people to have x-rays where nothing showed and weeks later, they have shown something.
People have EKG's done, they show nothing... and wham-o, they drop dead a week later. I haven't had it happen to anyone I know, but stuff like this is out there. I'm glad LK is getting a story that doesn't involve meddling in her kids' lives for a change.

Rumor: Ali Sweeney to be FIRED from DOOL?
I'm beginning to see what Nelson said about this being something that could wreck Days. All I can envision is Los Angeles in flames at the end of Earthquake.

Rumor: Ali Sweeney to be FIRED from DOOL?
Jesus -- nine pages??

Having read through it, I have two opinions:
1. Rape isn't romance, and that goes for any show.
2. I have a hard time believing this blogger. BD's always had a penchant for sarcasm and it wouldn't surprise me if he was screwing with the audience. I have never heard anything about unprofessional behavior from JS -- why would he and the cast be laughing so hard about BD going up on stage at the Daytime Emmys?

I gotta agree, though -- most Days threads are more entertaining than the actual show somedays. lol

DAYS: Kristen Renton fired!
Hey, it's the nature of the business. Next fall in TV Guide's fall preview, we might be reading about this show where Kristen is one of the big stars and she'll break out in Hollywood. Happens a lot with actors who get fired from soaps.

Now Charity on the other hand.... naaaaaaaaa. :)

The eating disorder thing...well wonder if that's Wheeler. Heard about something of that nature back when she was acting.

Zimmer on OLTL..please no as Echo's only strong tie is to Clint and that would be hella freaky.
Only food can save the world...
Only food can save the world...
Only food.

Sorry. I know eating disorders are nothing to joke about, but in this case I couldn't resist.

GL: SOD News
At a time when the show can ill afford to piss off any more fans, nevertheless. EW's mantra seems to be "keep the true couples apart" and "pair people up in relationships that drift apart after several months".
