Woohoo for OLTL and Y&R!

But Kristen Alderson? Seriously? LoL
I think I'm her only fan. :(
With good reason, LoL! That little troll can't act for crap!

B&C were only there about a year but I felt they were very, very good. Probably the best HW tenure on Days of this century so far.
Co-sign.

I have a feeling this is a temporary thing..
I really don't think it is.
I agree. It's not the same as it was back when Renee Jones, Drake Hogestyn and Joe Mascolo were all fired and then quickly brought back later. The show's in a much worse place now. I don't believe that Deidre and Drake will be back until the final episodes.

Kristian Alfonso interviewed about the cuts
Well, it's merely my opinion. Of course everyone has different ideas about who's a vet and who's not.

Kristian Alfonso interviewed about the cuts
I don't consider anyone who hasn't been with the show at least 15 years a vet.

So, for me, actors like Zucker, Bjorlin, JKJ, etc. would not be vets.

I just really hope that when PR and KA took the cut in pay they still get are going to get a frontburner story. With the loss of Dee, we really need to see familiar people on the show, and not only twice a week.
I'm not counting on it. I'll even bet we'll be seeing them less than we already are now.

Deidre Hall's last air date
They damn well better get something special! That's the least Corday can do.

Thom Racina Interview
But does a change in writers really affect the actors that much? As long as they're getting scripts that they're being paid to memorize, I'm sure they won't complain too much.

Rosie Live!: Anyone plan on watching?
At least Pushing Daisies wasn't preempted like DSM. :hmmph:

I'm not so sure Days could survive another writer upheaval, even with Dena Higley there. There's just too much turmoil right now.
Well, they sure can't survive with her staying, so they might as well take a chance on someone new.

Suds Report Is GL Cancelled?

The glee over its impending cancellation on this board hurts a bit.
I don't think anyone's "gleeful" over GL's impending demise. No one has been wishing for it to come to this. Personally, I want it to be cancelled so Wheeler, Kreizman and Co can't destroy it any further than they already have (if possible). It's just sad to see what it's been reduced to. It's like seeing a loved one being kept alive on life support. They're there, but they're not really there.

Please let the DiMera family feud story be picked up again, so there will be SOMETHING on this show worth tuning in for!
Keep dreaming. Thaao was really excited about the DiMera business storyline and was so behind it. If they were doing that story, he would be raving about it like he was in the summer/fall.
Believe me, I've stopped getting my hopes up about anything on this show.

Wheeler really needs to stay away from soaps, but I bet she'll come to ATWT when GL is canceled.
It wouldn't surprise me. Once GL is gone, P&G will probably send her over to ATWT to finish that show off.

SOD Confirms JKJ Staying!
I agree. Until I read that he's signed a new contract, I will only believe he's staying through his current one.

Suds Report Is GL Cancelled?
It's sad to say, but I really do hope GL is cancelled soon.

If they write this right, it could be a lot better than the Kristin storyline.
Not bloody likely, LoL.

The "economy" is not the big factor, it's plays a part, but it isn't the major reason why DAYS has to make all of these cuts.

Fact remains, Corday and company have mismanaged this show's budget for YEARS. If the show wasn't in debt, and managed its budget successfully over the past 10 years or so, it wouldn't be in as bad of a predicament as it is in today. Why do you think the ABC soaps and the Bell soaps still manage to hold on to most of the veteran cast they have - THEY KNOW HOW TO BALANACE THEIR BUDGET.

The 40% budget cut is massive yes, but had this show been in a stable financial place beforehand, they could've worked around it more successfully.
Exactly. The vast majority of the blame for DAYS's current predicament lies squarely on Corday's bumbling shoulders.
