I'm pretty sure Kayla was dancing with drunk Eric. :)
I loved it! And when she left him on the dance floor he kept going by himself.

"one of the main actors still doesn't like it, despite the fact that it translated to lots of screen time".

*Still* doesn't like it. Implying that he/she has already been known to dislike it.
One of the veteran actors on B&B, Thorsten Kaye, has openly criticized the writing and pacing of his storyline, and there's every indication that this story (with Linsey Godfrey and Pierson Fode) will continue in 2016, especially since LG's character (Caroline) is pregnant by PF's character (Thomas), who is TK's character's (Ridge's) son. I also recall seeing that TK had been one of the top actors on the show in terms of episode appearances, so my money's on B&B/TK.
I don't think it's TK. He never criticized his current story (Ridge/Caroline/Thomas), in fact he said he loved it. What he criticized was the tendency that characters have to jump from one romance to another in a short amount of time which was irrelevant to his 2015 story.
Plus, that story has been put on hold for the almost 2 months now. TK and LG have only been on 3 episodes since mid-November so I don't see how it can be considered that it's "still going strong". In a few months yes, but not right now IMO.

I also don't think it could be about the transgender story. JY/KM both loved it.

My guess would be someone from the Jasam/Liason story on GH, either Billy Miller or Rebecca Herbst.

It is time to make it a man coming back to obsess over Kayla. Jealous Steve is fun to watch. Enough with these women from his past. :frustration:
Well, Chris Kositchek is on contract. ;)

If the bullet he gave her is the one when he and Hope were trying to get away from Police and he got shot and Hope ended up calling Kayla for advice and she flew all the way to Stockholm to help nurse him, then it is a very important bullet in his life.
That's the one. :wub2:

I don't remember him taking the bullet out, though. Hope cleaned up the wound and then, when Kayla showed up, she only changed his bandages. And Steve hated hospitals, there's no way he went afterwards.

Steve and his Patchy Claus! He really did go down to the pier and pass out presents dressed as Patchy Claus back in the day. I wish he'd do that this year.
I loved Patchy Claus! My favorite scene was from 1987 when SN's daughter played one of the kids and couldn't stop smiling at him!

I also loved Kayla dressing up as Patchy Claus right after Steve died. :frownie:

Ava kissing Joey in a bedroom? (even if it's on the cheek)

Did they remove the pic? Because I went through the slideshow twice and couldn't find it. :(

EB as best actor? Seriously?
LOL, and according to him, the choice was a no-brainer.

Knowing him, I expected him to choose Tony Geary.

Shoot, I forgot to check my recordings and see if MBE new hairdo was already on Steve's pic of Kayla on his phone when Kayla was trying to reach him after Bo died.

It doesn't look like it's the new one because there are no bangs. I think her hair is pulled back and that's why it looks shorter.

Greg Vaughan interview on his exit
Dec 8 2015, 11:18 PM
Dec 8 2015, 11:08 PM
I remember GV gave an interview to Michael Fairman in December 2014 about the upcoming Serena/elephant story and he was quite negative about it. 2 months later, new writers arrived, backburnered him and ultimately wrote him out. I wonder if the 2 events are related. It feels like sometimes actors get punished by the writing if they are not publicly praising the show all the time. I think that also happened to DHim and GG under TomSell. They made complaints and then John was off the show for a few months and Rafe was put in a coma.
Well, it was more than "not praising". In general if you were negative in public about the product you (and your company) are selling you could get fired IMO.

That said I don't think that was what happened. He was let go after the HW change.

I agree, I don't it had anything to do with it.
However, I have to admit that it bothered me when he did that. You can't trash a storyline before it even begins, especially if it involves a newcomer that wants to be welcomed by the fans. I was kind of excited to see Melissa Archer on Days but that interview took all my excitement away. I'm all for honesty and he was right about the story, but there's a line between being honest and completely unprofessional and I think he crossed that line. I would have cheered him on if he said that a few months later but not before MA debuted.

Or maybe AZ wanted to be paired with her RL man, SC? Anybody know if AZ & KL were a thing before they were together on screen?

AZ/KL got married in 2002, so they were together for at least a year before Bricole 1.0. I think they started dating in real life when Nicole and Brady were chaperones at the 2001 Last Blast Dance.

Is his Y&R character still "alive"?
If I remember correctly, he left town after Victor paid him off the leave Victoria.

Btw, did you recognize the exterior of the church?
I guessed this had to be one of the churches in Nafplio. I visited the town last year but couldn't recognize the church, even the Internet pictures didn't help much.
I needed Google's help since I haven't been to Nafplio in years, but I'm pretty sure it was this one, Evaggelistria.

They weren't actually allowed to film any of the landmarks in Greece, but TPTB didn't realize this until after bringing the cast and crew overseas. Judi Evans, I believe it was her, once said the scenes at the Parthenon were taped in secret. She and Wally, Drake and Genie had to walk around pretending to be real couples and the crew members as tourists, sneaking around with cameras, taping whatever they could. It was almost a botched location shoot.

I didn't know that! That's so funny and actually explains a lot. :blulaugh:

Possibly controversial opinion: I think I enjoy watching DHim as Roman far more than as John. His acting seems...just better as Roman. The overall better writing during that time probably helped too.

Did Steve's harmonica ever make an appearance during the '06-'09 run? I realize he didn't know who he was for awhile, but I don't think I've seen any clips of him playing it even after he regained his memory. I know he gave one to Baby Ciara as a gift, though...
I adored Drake as Roman! Loved everything about him, his romantic pairings (Marlena and Diana), his sibling chemistry with MBE and PP and of course his relationship with Carrie which is my favortie father/daughter relationship I've ever seen on a soap.

As far as the harmonica is concerned, I just watched a clip yesterday of Steve playing it to Pocket when he was trying to make him stop crying.

I didn't know the interiors of the Greek wedding were shot in the States. It makes sense, but still. That church was insanely extravagant looking, though. Like...wow.

The first time I watched those episodes I believed the interiors were shot in Greece as well since this is how our churches are. I guess the church they actually filmed was Greek Orthodox as well and that's why it looked the same.
The only thing that wasn't realistic (in case anyone is wondering), was some parts of the ceremony. They kind of incorporated some American traditions, like someone walking the bride down the isle for example. That doesn't happen, the bride and groom do down the isle together.

Dec 5 2015, 01:54 AM
I've never heard one story about the Greek shoot that wasn't about it being a complete clusterfuck in every way.

I'm actually surprised they even allowed them to come and film here in Greece because nowadays they don't. Troy, Alexander even Game of Thrones wanted to film here but weren't allowed for some inexplicable reason.
