I think there is plenty of evidence to support the notion that John was celibate during the time period just prior to Possession.

He wanted Kristen, but she had gone back to Tony

....At one point he even tried to FORCE HIMSELF to make love to a women named Tonya Hampstead,

LOL for for once in his life "John Black" just couldn't DO IT.

If your seriously interested PM for the playlist

It something I just recently took the time out to pay attention to, BC I don't buy the notion that Paul is really John son either. :headbang:

:eyeroll:

Prior to the Possession, yes. But that was late 1994, I'm talking about the time before Maison Blanche, after Kristen married Tony and thought John killed Stefano. From February to April, John was trying to solve the Curtis Brown murder and was having memories of Maison Blanche. He was still in love with Kristen but it's not unfathomable to believe he had a one-night stand. It's the only time from 1993-1994 that I could buy the retcon.

LOL, I remember the scenes Tanya Hampsted very well. She was all over him in every scene, whether they were in public or at the loft. I was very surprised that John, of all people, didn't let her seduce him.

What year was Paul technically born in, following the history the show gave as to when he was conceived?
I don't think anyone can figure that out, because Paul was supposedly the product of a relationship between John and Tori that happened in Salem. It had to have occurred after the Dimeras took over the Dimera mansion, which was after 1993, because Will found a photo of Tori by the Dimera boathouse from nine months before Paul was conceived. The problem is that John was always on canvas between 1993 and 2007, and was pretty much involved with either Marlena or Kristen during that entire time period.

Has anyone fanwanked a reasonable timeline?
The only time John wasn't with a woman or pursuing a woman was during February-April of 1994. From the time Kristen got married to Tony until he went to Maison Blanche. He was still onscreen almost every single day but I guess he could have had a short fling at some point.

Sorry, I just did a quick search through some of these threads and I can't find it. It was a video interview on youtube - like a whole career retrospective. Someone here posted it not too long ago. She spoke of her time on Days for a couple of minutes and that particular segment was indicated in the post. Maybe someone else knows where it is? It's definitely here on DR somewhere. Maybe in the Days renewal thread? Maybe in the Carlivati in Higlet Out thread?
I'm assuming it's this one:

The Days part starts at 16:49.
Thank you both!
I knew that her experience working on Days wasn't the best but I was shocked to hear her completely trash the producers for the location shoots! Wow! Well, I'm glad she at least said some positive things about working with Drake.

From Christie Clark's interview above, from an interview someone recently posted of Genie Francis, and from other interviews I've seen, it seems that everyone is in agreement that Drake Hogestyn is the nicest man. That's sweet to hear.
Do you have a link to the Genie Francis interview? She hardly ever mentions her time on Days so I'm really interested in reading what she had to say about Drake. I loved Roman/Diana.

DR Retrospective Interview with Christie Clark
Lysie, thank you so much for this interview!
I have tears in my eyes for all the great things she said about Drake. The Carrie/RoJohn relationship is my favorite father/daughter relationship of all time and I love that she considers him her real dad.
