...I didn't hate Santeen, lol. I didn't love it, but it didn't bother me. The second round of the story in Ireland was where it really started to feel like overkill to me. And it was nice to see AS in particular playing something different and quieter than Sami's typical brashness, and showing off her freckles.
It was worth it to see JS in a pornstache and speak with a funky Italian accent. SOOOO cheesy, it melted. I coulda made a sandwich and queso with it.

Alison Sweeney directing again at DAYS
Actually, I think the episodes she directed weren't terrible. That might be her better niche.

Some of you need to sit back and give the dislike button a break.
I hate to give it up.The like and dislike thumbs have become my new best friend.Has a lot of pros for me.Saves time as well as taking taking a lot of drama and repetition out of my posts while making my position clear.I really don't mind posters disliking my posts since we don't all view the cast members, their ability to act,the characters,
the storylines,or even what we see and hear on screen the same.
Sometimes if I feel like misbehaving, it lets me get it out of my system before I say something I'll regret later.

Even Sami is right. They are tip-toeing around and acting like Abigail should not be "hurt" I would be SO MAD if the whole town and FAMILY were dismissing my feelings they way they are to Sami.

Freddy looks sick.

Really? Don't you think maybe Sami expressing feelings for someone other than herself would go a long way with her getting more non-dismissive reactions from others? After all, in hurting EJ and Sami, she's also hurting her kids, her mom, Abby's relatives, the hospital, and God knows who else.

If I'm underplaying the fallout for Abby, then it must be happening off-screen. So far, the only repercussions to her after the article came out have been some apparently mean PalPage posts, reporters asking questions and Anne laughing about it (and she wasn't even subjected to the last two things herself). Other than that, Ben, JJ, Jen, Dan and even EJ have all been there to express their support for her. If they want me to feel bad for Abby, then write some stuff to actually feel bad for her about. Write some real fallout.
Whether you want to feel sorry or not for her is up to you. I'm just saying lets not act like everything has been sunshine and roses for Abigail since Will's silly article was released.
People are being nice to Abigail because she's sorry, the affair is over and she's moving on. They feel bad because her cousin hung her out to dry, and Sami wanted to destroy her life. No, she wasn't just going to get her fired and yell at her. She told Will and EJ that she was just beginning and was not going to stop hurting Abigail and she was not remorseful at all.

People tend to sympathize with the person who is actively being hurt, even though that person might have done hurtful things in the past.

Sami ruined her chance at gaining sympathy, which she could have had, by committing fraud, toying her friends and family - including her children - by having a bogus wedding, trying to destroy Abigail's budding relationship with Ben (which was a fail, and probably not mentioned in the article because Will didn't know about that) and there was the spitefully telling Jordan about Rafe. All of this was done with pure malice. People don't like or sympathize with malicious people.

Sami made a few good points today, and I'm actually pleased that she doesn't seem that angry at Will. Will's little article is child's play compared to what she's pulled on her mother.

The whole moral of this story is that revenge tends to backfire on you. Also, taking the high road tends gain you sympathy. Even EJ, whom I think is a criminal and a sociopath and I get joy when people hit him, has been taking his lumps and trying to protect Abigail. He didn't hang her out to dry and he hasn't tried to get revenge on Sami for all the crappy and dangerous things she's done. This is probably going to garner him some sympathy. He even went and told Will off today, mostly of Sami's sake but also for his own and Abigail's.

For all that Sami is supposedly a manipulative character, she totally played this wrong. If she had wept and cried and confronted EJ and Abigail but said she was going to forgive them for her children's sake and then cried some more. The whole town would have lined up behind her.

The post I was responding to was pointing out the differences between Abby and Sami's reaction to the article fallout, so I was making the point that those different reactions are probably based on Sami dealing with a a great deal more fallout than Abby is dealing with. Do you think that's untrue?
I think they are both dealing with fallout from the article. Sami has to answer to angry board members because she conspired with Kate to takeover DE. Sami's behavior now is not different from how she has responded to her messes in the past. So I agree with the original poster that the contrast in how Abigail and Sami respond under pressure was very noticeable.
You don't think it's a little stressful for Abby, knowing Sami, that she's always waiting for the next shoe to drop? Sami gets these shoes from octopi, after all. Lots of shoes dropping all over the place. Yeah, yeah, Abby knew what Sami was like before then, but.....whatevs.

I don't know how the actors get through the scenes with Anne Milbauer without cracking up.
LOL. Your comment reminds me of the old Carol Burnett show where Harvey Korman could never make it through a skit without cracking up over Tim Conway.

I thought the contrast between Abigail and Samantha was very interesting today. Strong and maintaining control v/s weak and spinning off somewhere into hell.

When EJ spoke to Abigail she owned up to her part in the affair. She wanted him; knew it was a mistake at the time but did it anyway. She let him know she was perfectly capable of handling the fall out herself and walked away with her head held high.

Samantha still has not owned any flaws in her relationship with EJ. She has done nothing but blame Abigail and still doesn't see that she is making the problem worse by involving so many others in her revenge schemes. When EJ walks in the door she begs him to fix everything because it is all coming down around her.

Side note: By Monday she will be blubbering all over EJ.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Sami post-article tasks of dealing with an angry husband, an angry son-in-law and angry investors is a wee bit more challenging than Abby's post-article tasks of accepting everyone's condolences, stargazing and writing a press release with her mom. That would probably explain their different states of mind.
Why? Her whole reaction of revenge started the ball rolling. She basically threw more gasoline onto her own mental flames. The whole stereotypical pit bull (as in the stereotype of pit bull) attitude of grabbing onto someone's leg or balls and needing the Jaws of Life to pry her away. She.........won't............let.............go. She and EJ both need some serious abuse counseling. She'll be boiling Abby's bunny pretty soon instead of the other way around. Chick is HUGELY obsessed.
And now supposedly

I just can't with this character. This whole writing and shit with her is one of the things that has finally driven me away from this show without having the slightest bit of desire to want to see it again. That and the crappy Ericole story. Daniel doesn't bother me as much as this shit. That's saying a LOT to admit that here.

My point was never that these stories prove that Bo and Hope have a great love. My point has always been and still is that the very same people who think Sami is pathetic and has no self respect for taking back her cheating husband supported Hope taking Bo back and vice versa. So it is not really about forgiving cheating partner because evidently it has been done before in this soap many times before. it is really about whether or not you support that particular couple and your personal preference.
Except that you don't actually know what any of these people thought about those storylines. You're just assuming it based on banners and avatars.
I guess Sami will join a long list of pathetic Salemites who reunited with their cheater.

To me, the issue is not whether or not Sami takes EJ back, but it's about the lameness of this S/L. Every part of it sucks and no one comes out looking good. Everyone in involved is damaged by it.
Personally, I would love to see EJ kick Sami's ass back for pulling the stunt she did. I have no pity for her whatsoever.

You know, I haven't watched for several weeks now. You know....yeah, I'll keep that streak going. There is so much more that can be done on EJ's side with retaliation back to Sami....although I am intrigued on what Abigail could have on Sami.....Not that intrigued. Your play-by-plays and speculations are more entertaining. I can always go back to NBC.com if I get the itch.

LMAO at Abby slapping Sami. Really Days?!?! TomSell's desire to turn Abby into a victim in all this is beyond ridiculous. They're doing her character no favors.

Meanwhile, I am looking forward to EJ and Lucas - they usually snark well.
I rather like the idea of Abby slapping Sami just cause I'm snarky like that.

Once Will posts the article, he's gonna be the least of Sami's problems. She'll probably lose her job and her parents' respect. :shame:
What respect? They would have to care about her first and evidently they do not. Didn't Sami's mother commit attempted murder against Ej a few years back and successfully put stefano in a induced coma for revenge? Not to mention that Will has yet to pay for shooting Ej in the back.

Yeah I am sure they will be throwing stones at her in their glass house.

Sometimes, instead of being hurt, you should look at betrayal as a gift. It makes it that much easier to sweep it up and toss it out with the rest of the trash. And why is that you ask? Because trash starts to stink...and when it does, it has no more value in your life. ― Donna Schoenrock
I don't understand why you find this to be an okay thing for Sami to do but not anyone else. I mean, we all have our favorites and that's fine, I just don't follow the argument. In the past (like earlier in the thread, lol) you've condemned others for doing that to Sami, yet that's what you want her to do to Will. Personally I don't think anyone has actually done that, but I don't follow why what you're saying is okay for Sami but no one else.
