I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it's Noah! I've said it on more than 1 occasion, now it's true! ;)
how do you know that?
Last Year, Noah and Eden broke up in Paris. Nobody went into any info about it, but it was implied that some secret from Paris was going to be revealed. Now, he's back from N.Y living with her, and not the LEAST bit jealous of who she sees? Let's not forget on the annerversary of Cassie's death, he went to the gravesite wanting to talk to his sister, because she's the only person who wouldn't judge him..Didn't anyone other than me find it funny that they didn't show his conversation?
I just hope you're wrong, although, we haven't seen noah with any girls lately.

Even though Kevin-as-gay has been scrapped, the show IS going forward with a recent recast younger actor coming out of the closet, and Nelson says that it is Fen.

That's more believeable to me.
Actually, Kyle is more believable to me simply because he already has a myriad of issues which could serve him well if they added "closet case" to it. He's still dealing with the loss of his mother AND dealing with his father marrying the person who killed her. Throw in the notion that he's been trying to squash his gayness by being a manwhore............well...............he could be at odds with Jack about that too!

Y&R: Character to Come Out the Closet
It probably is Fen, the one we've not seen since he was SORASED.

Who said anything about this being bad news (or even good news for that matter)? We're simply trying to figure out where they are going with this since SOD supposedly said there's been a scrapping of the gay story to be rewritten using a different character.

Y&R: Character to Come Out the Closet
Who the hell cares about Fen? The show hasn't shown him since his arrival. They should go with Kyle. I think he'd fit nicely with him seeming to overcompensate everytime he's with women. Plus, he already has issues with Jack and I can see him "blaming" Jack for his "condition" so to speak.

I am still completely baffled how Will went from wanting to use the letter to command respect from EJ and getting back all of his perks to becoming EJ's biggest advocate.

What prompted this radical change in opinion? It makes no sense at all.

It was prompted by a change in writers. :o)

While I'm looking forward to a Sonny & Will relationship, I can totally see why Chandler isn't excited about it. The show is playing it safe and predictable. Days has a history of not knowing what to do with couples once they are together. If there isn't a 3rd party or whos-the-daddy to cause conflict, the show sends them offscreen. A happy ending is a dead end. And it seems like the writers are going directly to endgame here.

Plus, from Chandlers point of view, he's going from basically being the star of the show the past few months, in story with the two lead actors - Sami and EJ (like it or not, they are the current stars), to being put back with the teen set in the b or c level storyline with Sonny (who the writers have shown no interest in developing any deeper than Henderson or the nurse at the hospital). From an actors point of view, it's a major demotion. I doubt it's anything personal about Freddie. Freddie, on the other hand, is finally going to get a storyline, so of course he's excited.

I like this post a lot. It's coming from someone who loves the idea of a Will/Sonny relationship BUT also gets how it might not be the best relationship story told. It's been my problem with the pairing all along. Will/Sonny feel too "safe", and "safe" is quite often boring. They won't know what to do with Will/Sonny after they are together other than "backburnering" them or writing them off.

Hey, who's that female in Chad's Apartment?
I'm surprised that this thread has 6 pages of this because I don't know what the significance is of Chad having some woman or bimbo in his apartment. Now if the question was who's that STUD in Chad's apartment then there would be a hell of a lot to ponder.

Ejill was inspired. I really enjoyed their storyline and dynamic. I hope Will doesn't become boring again.
That's the problem. There was NO storyline. It was basically the same scene over and over again. Played in exactly the same way each time. What was left to say? What was left to be done?

The entire story made no sense.
How did Will go from wanting to use the letter to command respect from EJ and getting back the perks to becoming EJ's advocate you ask? It's really quite simple! WILL LOVES EJ (perhaps to his own surprise). And I love THEM!

It certainly is difficult, which begs the question: Why did TPTB not bother to build much of anything at all between Will/Sonny? They've had plenty of time to do so. And Chandler not sounding enthusiastic about the pairing is telling. I, for one, am thrilled that he doesn't seem to care for it.
I'm thrilled too, because I'd like to see Sonny in a story that isn't about a smirking sociopath who treats him like crap.

As for why TPTB didn't build anything between them, I'd guess it's because to them Will exists solely for EJ's story. This is also a way to keep Will asexual (and based on Chandler's poor performance during some of the romantic scenes with other men, I can understand that too). People may talk about fantasy sex scenes between Will and EJ, but the show knows it will never happen. This way, Will can always stay a eunuch, and the show can avoid controversy.
My, well if this is the case, I expect Will/Sonny to be a scorchingly hot couple to watch. :sarcasm:

Quoting limited to 4 levels deep
What's interesting about Will at the moment? He likes EJ. He really, really likes EJ. He has no other relationship or story on the show.

The biggest problem with Will as EJ's lapdog is that anything else Will does will be seen as boring. That's all they have cared about writing for months, and that's all Chandler Massey seems capable of playing.
And yet, Chandler seems to LOVE every bit of his association with JS's EJ.
Lots of actors love things fans hate. Who the heck wouldn't love working with JS. He's consistantly in A stories and on screen all the time.
SOME fans hate it. I, and a good many others, do not! And I'm glad that Chandler doesn't hate it either. :cheer:

Part of the problem I cant lay at Massey's feet. There really is no story here. Aside from Will sharing a few scenes with Sonny, his being gay is really an afterthought. It's pretty obvious to me there was no thought put into this "story". It was just an excuse to give Massey more scenes with James Scott. I said before they wasted killing off Stefano and making a big production out of it for this stuff? There was a story just waiting to be told with Lucas returning for Will centered on his issues with BOTH his parents where they could have used EJ to further drive a wedge there while Will was contiuing to get closer to EJ. But it's again all about framing EJ and his pain. Who cares. EJ is supposed to be a villain I'm not sure why folks would care that he was framed and based on ratings is seems most don't.

For all the cries about how so called boring and irrelevant Will was pre EJ, I seem to recall he and Chad getting a ton of non manufactured buzz when they were sharing scenes and story a couple of years ago with many hoping they were going to move forward on some sort of relationship there. And frankly that's what the show should have pursed.

The problem with Massey is this material is just not suited to him. He worked a lot better as so called boring as he was, as likable Will with Gani than this mess.
You're right! Will worked very well with Chad because there was a certain "thing" that people saw (well, SOME people at least) during their scenes that doesn't seem to exist with Sonny. I don't know if it's the actor who plays Sonny or what but a great deal is lacking with Will and Sonny. It could be that they wrote CHILL much better than they are writing WILSON which opens up a whole new line of discussion.
It's difficult to have a connection when one actor is rarely onscreen and the other actor has open disdain for the relationship.

I'm more interested in why Massey has so little connection with people like Ali Sweeney and Bryan Datillo, who should be important parts of Will's life.

It may have been getting buzz from some fans and media outlets but ratings tell a whole other story. EJ/Will has become creepier dialogue wise as ratings fell even more and it has been front and center. I not saying its entirely to bame but I'd day that along with many other terribly written stories reflect overall decline of ratings.
Let's hope you repeat the same when Sonny and Will fail to bring in the ratings...
Will and Sonny have FAIL written all over them. For all the dislike of Will and EJ, Will being around EJ has made Will a million times more of an interesting character than he's ever been. And Chandler certainly doesn't sound very enthusiastic about a Will/Sonny romance either. I can't say I blame him.
