'Dallas' memorabilia goes under the hammer
London, July 12 : TV series Dallas' costumes have fetched 8,500 pounds at a charity auction in Paris.
The 1980s US show's cast members attended the auction as they stopped by before appearing at the 15th Country Music Festival of Mirande, in the Gers region.
Actor Larry Hagman's character JR Ewing's white Stetson hat was auctioned for 880 pounds while a pair of cowboy boots worn by Patrick Duffy part Bobby Ewing went for 135pounds.
A necklace worn by Linda Gray's character former Miss Texas, Sue Ellen Shepard Ewing fetched 475 pounds, the BBC reports.
More than 300 people attended the auction at the Artcurial auction house, whose money will go to French children's charity Hopital Sourire.
Dallas was a highly popular, long-running American primetime television soap opera that ran from 1978 to 1991 that centred on the Ewing family, a wealthy Texas family in the oil and cattle-ranching businesses.
