Jett was involved in getting Max on board. The only two aspects of the scenerio that I believe would kill Max are that he knew Jeremy had a side business going, and Max as the investor didn't look into that. And, that Max is not accepting Jett's offer now. Personally, I wish Max would be wise and tell Jett everything. I still can't wrap my head around what EJ gained from bringing the newscast over and sharing the story of how he "saved" Lucas. I love Pocket Man! So cute. He's the most adorable child that DAYS has hired yet, IMO.
