Great article Steve!

I've got to say that I was a pre-teen when I started watching AW with my mom. I became engrossed with the Pat Matthews story line. I understood as much as I could back then; that she loved Tom, and she got pregnant. My mom glossed over the abortion telling me that she had miscarried the baby. But when she killed Tom, oh my, that's the first time I got hooked on a soap. Susan Trustman, such a beautiful girl and a good actresss. I remember her standing in the jail cell and screaming, "I didn't kill Tom, I loved him!" The chills go right through me just thinking about it. Then who comes along as Pat's attorney but the, oh so handsome John Randolph, an 'older man.' {Gasps.} I wonder what I really thought about that.

Now I know what I thought about that, he was hot. And that took me on the AW journey until it was canceled. Clearly, the best soap ever on TV. I know many would differ with my statement, but the writing and acting were the best. The characters more than memorable.

The pictures you posted bring back so many memories for me. I loved seeing Bill and Missy together, that was such a great love story. Douglas and Victoria. And I do remember seeing George and Jacquie on the Mike Douglas Show.

So many names I had memorized from reading the credits you have them posted. So many I won't mention all of them but certainly Nicholas Coster, Susan Sullivan, Linda Dano, William Gray Espy - had to mention him, Christine Jones, Beverlee McKinsey, Anna Stuart, David Hedison, Cali Timmons. And of course, Dack Rambo.

Thanks for the memories!
