There's been a glaring lack of family forever, and then with this insipid Kack wedding and Carly's illness, family scenes are suddenly all over the place, which actually makes for a better show. It's too bad that the insta-romance of Kack has turned so many people off (along with some other things...), because over all, this is probably the best week we've had in MONTHS, and yet I doubt the ratings will move. I agree, Maura's hitting this out of the park, and even though I regularly think she's the best actress on the show, period, she's really shined this week. And I think the writers are doing right by Brad, finally, and matured him. Why they can do that, and yet fail so miserably trying to mature Katie is a conundrum.
