GET EM STEPH!!

I can see what Tyler is saying too because the same way he feels about Passions is how I feel about Days. I have watched Days since 5 years old. That's 25 years ago. Of course, I didn't understand alot back then but my grandmother taped the show everyday so she could watch it when she got home. When I got older, she gave me these tapes to watch so I could understand the show better. I loved it then and I love it now. Through good times and bad, it doesn't matter. I can always find something I love because I grew up on these families and characters. I think everyone has one show they are so devoted to that it doesn't make a difference what happens. They are still loyal to it and devoted to it. That is what Days is for me. I have only considered quitting once and that was in winter 2005-the Iraq story and that was because that was offensive and insulting during a period of war, let alone during any period. That is why I am so passionate about the show and argue so much in support of it, almost so much that I offend and get into trouble. I guess it's just because of my strong feelings towards it and because I feel the way fans think has changed. Twenty years ago fans were more likely to stick by a show and not just turn it off but times have changed and the whole genre is slumping so much I think fans think the only way to get something done to change it is to stop watching. The only problem I have with that is what good is it to stop watching if you end up losing the show for good? It's an individual choice I guess but I will be there until the end, which I still believe and hope is a long time away. |
