The only reason the show uses her is to pimp Katie and then the one important moment in Katie's life she is not there. Pissanante and her wisdom strike again. I guess they think fans don't want to see Nancy that often. Or that it might make the younger fans ill at ease to see her that often. After all no one wants to see an 80 year old woman on TV anymore.
