The production companies that own these soaps really should make a preemptive, temporary deal with SAG so that they can continue to operate. Because if they're not able to produce shows, then every single soap, I would think, will be in deep trouble of having the kibosh put on them. There were independent deals made during the writer's strike so that companies could continue using their writers and so on and so forth (David Letterman's company springs to mind), so I don't see why the soap production companies couldn't do the same. |
