The production companies that own these soaps really should make a preemptive, temporary deal with SAG so that they can continue to operate. Because if they're not able to produce shows, then every single soap, I would think, will be in deep trouble of having the kibosh put on them.|
There were independent deals made during the writer's strike so that companies could continue using their writers and so on and so forth (David Letterman's company springs to mind), so I don't see why the soap production companies couldn't do the same.
