So does that really count? That is the rumor, which is pretty much all but true. Days claimed it was story-dictated and I even think they mentioned it was used to help along the transition from Muldoon to Peck as Austin since Carrie and Austin went after her for a few weeks. It does count though because the show ended up pulling her, even if it was for other reasons other then story. I should point out though that even that hiatus was rather short as Ali was back onscreen around July, so only about 3 months without her. June-October 2001 was really the longgest period without her and I am still shocked to this day Langan and Corday backburnered her.
