Bo and Philip save Melanie from falling to her death

Normally I love Philip and Bo together, but I do not approve of this. Couldn't they just let her fall?

But I do wonder how it is (and where) that she comes to fall. Since this is right after she learns about Nick killing Trent, could Nick have pushed her? And if so, my only regret is that Nick didn't finish the job.

Angie's source says that Nick 'accidentally' pushes her.

I can't picture Nick as a villan. Its too big of a transition even for him. Pushing Melanie is too unlike of his character.
