And although many on this board may not agree, Sami is a popular character and it allows to have a reduced schedule, while she is pregnant and shooting the her other show, while also keeping Sami's pregnancy a secret from EJ. I have always hated the idea of any sort of "love" between EJ and Sami, and I think Sami and Lucas are a dead end. I'm glad that Sami has someone new.
