So basically, he's not shown as dead, his body goes missing, so of course it keeps the storyline open for Don Diamont to return, which is kinda good. I was dreading a death, in all honesty. The shows nowadays are too quick to off a character without even thinking about it.
I wouldn't say that there's no body quite yet.

Noah recalls that Brad saved him when he fell through the ice, so it doesn't make sense for everyone to think he's dead if Noah saw him alive. At some point, I would guess they'll have to find a body. Probably in the next few weeks.
