It's funny how she contradicts herself that being with Max now is realistic, but that characters on soaps that leave a relationship to immediately hook up in another is unrealistic. |
It's a decent interview, but I get the feeling a lot of what is said here is to answer specifically what we've talked of online. Such as the rumors she and BB don't get along, leaving the show because she had no real storyline, and the anti-Chan stuff could have been pulled straight from here. Not that I'm necessarily saying it's a bad thing, she needs to do some damage control I think for comments she's made in the past.
However, I think in the end, RM doesn't have to explain why she wants to leave Days, she's a good actress and it's time to move on, no sense remaining on a sinking ship. I just believe working on a set where you get to watch your friends and coworkers be handed their pink slips and all you have to show for it is a lousy tshirt is miserable to say the leas. It's one thing to leave during a writer or actor strike when no new parts are gonna show up here or there, but I think there is enough work for the talented actors to find it, though remaining in LA might not work out. I do think too she may find work on another soap, though she says no here, I wouldn't be surprised if she wound up on a more popular soap.
