From what I understand, the two actors who played the Ropers were cajoled into a spin off show that never took off. Mr Ferly played by Don Knotts replaced the Ropers as landlords. The backstory was the Ropers went off to Florida, I think, and Mr. Ferly was Mrs. Ropers brother. The other spin off I enjoyed was the one with Jack and his girlfriend. Also, Suzanne Somers decided to play hard ball with the execs and in turn Chrissy ended up in a few episodes only to be seen talking to the other characters on the phone. Three's company was a good show but my mom hated it because of all the double entandras.
