"Rich Man, Poor Man" was a prime-time serialized mini-series with an all-star cast that originally ran for 12 hours in the Spring of 1976 to HUGE ratings (it was based on the 1970 Irwin Shaw best seller) and followed the lives of two rival brothers through several decades. It was so successful that a sequal ("Rich Man, Poor Man, Book II") followed in the fall of 1976 (which, I'm presuming, this synopsis is for). It's often considered the 2nd biggest dramatic spectacular in TV history, only behind "Roots".
