WEEK OF DECEMBER 20 - DECEMBER 24, 1976

ALL MY CHILDREN
Kate cooked up a Christmas storm as the Martins welcomed the return of Jeff who has been away from Pine Valley for over a year.

ANOTHER WORLD
Everyone was in a tizzy as the search continued to find Beatrice and Saly. Mac and Rachel weren't able to reconcile their differences and spent the big day apart. Things cooled down at the Randolphs regarding Mike and Molly, who was showered with gifts from Olive.

AS THE WORLD TURNS
Nancy threw her annual lavish spread for the Hughes clan and practically everyone but John and Susan was overjoyed that the reuniting lovers, Kim and Dan, shared a loving Christmas. Finally.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES
Karl and Sharon's Christmas party was the talk of the town. Mike invited Trish to spend the holiday with the Hortons, as Alice prepared a banquet. Phyllis' and Neil's holidays were not so cheery. She was released from the hospital, but they couldn't forget the trauma of losing their son.

THE DOCTORS
Maggie and Greta tried to straighten up Matt and keep him away from the booze. Jason and Stacy shared their first Christmas together in years. Unbeknownst to the celebrating Dancy clan, vagabond father Barney was back in town.

THE EDGE OF NIGHT
Laurie and Johnny arranged a Christmas reunion for Mike and Nancy, even though Nancy was under pressure to cooperate with Beau and Saxon. Tracy and Danny decided to share Christmas dinner together. And as usual, Nicole's life was threatened.

GENERAL HOSPITAL
Christmas for the Webbers was a bummer. Jeff lay near death after he shot himself in the head. But little Mike added cheer to the Taylor household.

GUIDING LIGHT
Rita was booked for murder but thanks to Mike, she was released on bail just in time to join Ed as he recited an annual Christmas story to the children at the hospital. Lonely Holly joined Barbara and Adam.

LOVE OF LIFE
Felicia spent the holidays by Charles' hospital bed. She grew apprehensive as he began to regain his memory.

MARY HARTMAN, MARY HARTMAN
Merle spent his wedding night with Big Honey, who turned out to be the madam of the prostitute ring that worked out of the mortuary. He was caught in the raid conducted by Det. Johnson and Mary. Garth gave Pat a mop and little Garth a tinkle sheet. As everyone crowded into Mary's kitchen for a holiday dinner, George reappeared and Martha fainted.

ONE LIFE TO LIVE
The best news for the Rileys was that Cathy revealed under hypnosis the whereabouts of Kevin. But Pat didn't have anything to celebrate as Brian's condition worsened. She was forced to consider telling Tony that he is Brian's father -- before it's too late for father and son to know each other.

RYAN'S HOPE
At the last minute, Pat convinced Dee not to sail to Europe with Roger. Jill and Seneca made a pact not to reveal the paternity of her child until after it is born.

SEARCH FOR TOMORROW
Jennifer was arrested for gun theft but was bailed out by Walter in time to spend Christmas with the Paces. Eric reluctantly went with the Heywoods to Arizona, where Ralph has a job offer. Gail went to dinner with Gary at the Collins house, and everyone else joined Jo, John, and Stu at the Inn for songs and merriment.

SOMERSET
Not too much cheer around town as Jerry fought to save Steve's life during open heart surgery. Denise donated blood, and Tom warned Julian that the mob is waiting to kill him.

THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS
Leslie gave Brad a Braille message that said "I love you," and spent the holiday with him. Lance gave Laurie a Mercedes. Stuart invited Jack to dinner with the Brookses. Joann and Kay celebrated together.
