He died in 1986, but the cause I saw listed in the column announcing Nancy Reichardt as his replacement was hepatitis. Of course, most AIDS deaths back in those days were normally attributed to something else. I think Mr. Reed was only in his late 30s when he died. I believe the "Tune In Tomorrow" column is still active today with Ms. Reichardt (who started as Mr. Reed's assistant) still writing. |
