He looked thin and ill and died five months after the episode aired. I remember that! Weren't they in a stable or something? For some reason, a teacher in grade school brought a TV into the class to watch some boring ass "Educational Television" program! She was strict and not the warmest woman but for some reason she let us watch that episode in glorious black and white! At the time I didn't notice how ill "Fred" looked!
