I was thinking the latter. If it is true, then MAB and SONY are the dumbest fools in the entertainment industry. But Granny Cooper also has to realize that an 83 year old woman doesn't fit into today's Y&R. Her guarantee's gonna be reduced and she's not going to have a real storyline. I only mention this is a negotiation ploy because she renewed her contract three years ago around this time. That was during the Kay/Marge stuff IIRC.
