Are the change over last year numbers correct? If so, Days is UP 139,000 total viewers from last year, but down 168,000 in women? Men is only up 56k, so there must be alot of new under 18 or over 50 viewers. ?
Well, its not under 18, all over 50. Unfortunately that's what MarDar did to the ratings. Killed the demo and added over 50s. Not that it should matter who's watching as long as they are, but it's an unfortunate fact they base advertising dollars on 18-49. Would have been nice if they could have kept the 18-49 and added everyone they did.
Not just MarDar, although I fear they made it worse. This started under the last regime too. It seemed to start around Fall 2009 when Bo and Hope got more story and Carly and Vivian returned. That was when the 18-49 and 18-34 demos started to decrease. It was also in Spring 2010 that we started hearing that the Days brass was trying to get NBC to see that the over 50 demo should be seen as important too.
