Nightline has routinely beat the Tonight Show in total viewers pretty much since Conan took over. Of course this is all about demos but, I just did a quick search, for the most part Nightline's demos are just below Jay's and well above David's. I am sure ABC thinks Nightline's audience will adjust but I have a feeling they won't.
