In some weird way, that itself makes him come across as so much more sincere in his enduring love for Sami than the other 2 at this point. Whether that's the writers' intention or not who knows. But all I see whenever Lucas is onscreen is a man who was heartbroken by the love of his life and is trying his hardest to get over her but is not quite there yet.
