Quoting limited to 4 levels deep
It's Jennifer's house so Jennifer would've been the one to place it on the mantel duh! :soapbox:
TPI, with this show you never know who put what where. TPTB would like us to think that Jennifer would have put Jack's photo on the mantle.... but in reality this show does the exact opposite of what it's suppose to do.

As long as the photo is on the mantle, Dannifer will never be.....If it is moved or missing then, I think we are to assume the "grieving period' is over. TPTB will go full steam ahead with Jen's new love life. It would be hard to watch Daniel pawing and panting all over Jennifer on the Horton Couch, while her ex-dead husband is staring at them from the mantle. LOL!!! But then again, this show is royally fucked up, I will put nothing past them!
This reminds me of when Alice used to gaze at Tom's photo on the mantle. (Choosing not to remember the floating head Reilly era). She would gaze at it fondly, talk to him, ask him for advice. There was no question that she had placed the photo there and took comfort from its presence. Jennifer has not been shown to do any of that. In fact, IIRC, there was a scene where she basically put away his personal things and said her goodbyes.

If I had to guess, I would say Abigail is the one who placed Jack's photo on the mantle, and Jennifer is allowing it to stay there for her daughter's sake -- and perhaps as a public show of obligatory mourning that she can't bring herself to actually express in any other way.
Yes well I hope he is compensated in some way. He's a very classy individual. Anyone else would tell them to shove it up their asses
