Viewing Single Post From: NHL game cancelled for Fri. 11/23...will "Days" air new episode?

Posts: 2,219 Group: Contributor Member #3,204 Joined: December 2, 2008	With today's announcement of the NHL cancelling all games through November 30, there is now a "question mark" as to what will be airing in the "Days" timeslot on Friday, November 23, 2012. The only statement so far is the one NBC released last month: EVENT NOTE: If the lockout of the NHL Players' Association continues and causes a delayed start or cancellation of the NHL season, normal Network programming on 11/23/12 will be reinstated. The "normal Network programming", of course, is "Days of Our Lives." Right now, I can think of three possibilities: 1. A presentation of "It's a Wonderful Life", which NBC airs several times in December. 2. A new "insert" episode of "Days of Our Lives", which would have to be written quickly and feature mostly flashbacks (and be inserted as Episode # 11966A). This had to be done once before in 1986, with episode # 5364A airing on Thanksgiving Day 1986, the episode consisiting mostly of characters thinking about the past (and hastily being taped the Saturday before Thanksgiving, just 5 days before the episode aired!) 3. A repeat of a classic "Days" episode. I'll post the decision as soon as information becomes available.
