Even though Jill was meant to be the "interloper" for Gary and Val, she was interesting and left me wanting more from her. Danny didn't really serve any purpose other than being an annoyance and a creep. His being there was solely to delay a Gary/Val reunion, at least IMO. Season twelve has been pretty lackluster so far. It's not as bad as I expected, but this is definitely not the "Knots" of yesteryear.
