I'm getting the feeling that the entire point of this storyline and these returns is to give Daniel his own kid in Salem now that Melanie is gone. Daniel and Jennifer will be Parker's parents. Sigh.

i don't get it, why not just have daniel knock up jennifer then?

Especially with the most perfect beings ever as parents, why oh why wouldn't the writers grace our screens with their spawn?
