I'd like to do a song of great social and political import.
I thought Kristen showed her hand today. This may not all be planned, but it seems like she's wanted to put the screws to Marlena since their first encounter. I can believe that she wanted to think she's reformed, and wants validation from John that she is getting, but I don't think it really goes much deeper than that. I think if they wanted to show that she was truly trying to turn a new page, the struggle or temptation should have been longer before going back to her old ways.|
Acting wise, Deidre Hall was the standout for me today in that story -- she did a beautiful job staking out Marlena's POV in her conversation with John.
I loved-loved-loved the Gabi/Will scenes today. They used the real drama that was in the situation, and I've always thought that if they were going to do a story with gay characters without having a whole gay scene, they should do something with Gabi as Will's ex-girlfriend. Sami has been so understanding (although overstepping by telling Rafe) that I can't wait to see if there's whiplash when the father is revealed.
