I wouldn't be surprised if Ej wants Eric to say a prayer for his dead baby as a way to earn more sympathy from Sami while also reinforcing Rafe kept the paternity a secret. It doesn't hurt to also tarnish Nicole and look like the wounded party with no culpability of his own. Dimera scheming at it's best.
