However, I would like to argue that at least one or two of the filters should be permanent. I'm a big fan of the filter that turned "everyone" into me. :) That one plus another no one ever found are both likely to return next time there's an issue... I don't get what the big deal was. The thread was about Jen saying ILY to Dan. People were complaining and venting about what they thought about that. There were many people posting in the thread, not the same ones over and over again. I don't believe it got off topic. If people didn't want to read about the complaints over and over again, then why read that thread at all? I know that there are some people who don't mind Dannifer but a majority seem to dislike them (to put it mildly) so in reading that thread, one would suspect a lot of unhappiness and venting about the subject of Jen saying ILY to Dan. I thought it was okay to complain and vent about the subject of the thread in that thread.
