Thanks for this wonderful write up of the early Whitney family saga. As a 7-year-old kid, I stumbled upon a scene of Geraldine and Keith/Jonah one afternoon while changing channels. Intrigued, I watched the rest of the episode and found myself tuning in again the next day and again the next day and then the next.

While I was already a fan of Days of Our Lives and Another World, I'd never seen anything like these scenes before. I was hooked. The stories were so different from what I was accustomed to. And the characters were so intriguing. Even their names were far from the norm -- Geraldine, Jonah, Tango, Orin Hilliar, Elly Jo Jamison. The world of Monticello was so different from anything I knew.

Edge of Night became my favorite soap for many years. So many wonderful stories. Henry Slesar consistently delivered some of the most compelling mysteries and some of the best love stories. Adam and Nicole and Sky and Raven are two of my all time favorite couples.

I still miss the show. But at least I have such wonderful memories.
