This week the family gathers for their first holiday without Stephanie but things take a surprising turn when Eric is a no show. When the family arrives, Pam tries to put out the fire by telling them “It’s okay, it’s Okay. She promised Eric that she would not tell them where he is. Eric needed time alone, a moment of grieving, and to honor her in his own way. He goes to see Celtic Woman because they remind him of the party he gave Stephanie. “It’s very sweet and sad,” notes the actor. Viewers will be treated to flashbacks of Stephanie as he remembers her. Meanwhile the rest of the family is trying to make sense of what’s going on. They understand but are sort of annoyed by it. They don’t say anything because they feel sorry for him. The family is feeling excluded but Eric feels he has the right to some private grief. He doesn't just have to hold everyone else’s hand and make them feel better.
