I don't think the show is all that awesome, honestly. It has it's good moments to be sure. I think RC and FV did a good thing by bringing back the vets that they have, and they have made the pacing better and more spread thought the cast. But I really don't think they did themselves to many favors by bringing so many OLTL characters to GH. Some hardcore GH fans probably felt like like they were trying to turn GH in OLTL 2.0
