I know that Marlena thought he did, but I guess her info came from Joshua. Unless I go REALLY digging into my synopses, I can't remember. But I swear I want to say it was a suicide that he pretty much drove her to over Josh and giving him away (or something). Part of me even wants to say (and I can't be sure how accurate this is) that Sunny was with John and Josh and ran off and left them for Kellam, which ended up being a horrible mistake because she ended up trapped with Kellam & regretting abandoning her child for a man. I may have simply fanwanked that, though.
