I think they're glossing over it because she was the heroine, then.

They don't make it sound that way when EJ has mentioned it vaguely, lol. The really just need to suck it up and do it. It's the elephant in the room. They could even continue with the illusion that she was a heroine and have it be a way for her to compare why she was right and Gabi's wrong. Anything would be better than ignoring it.
