If Gabi is cut out, which I find highly unlikely, Will would probably be granted sole custody. Sonny would only obtain custody if he were to adopt the baby because he has no blood relation to the child and he and Will are not married, or legally bound in any way. Yeah, I should have clarified that further. Of course I realize that, legally speaking, Sonny would probably not be considered a custodial figure at first, but he and Will would be living together and raising the child together regardless, in my speculative scenario, so, since I was referring to them as a couple -- a single entity -- in my previous posts, it basically amounted to Sonny having custody of the child by proxy. I would expect Sonny to adopt the child at some point, and I would also expect the writers to do a gay marriage at some point (maybe not in that order -- for all that we know, Will and Sonny might get married as one of the beats of this custody battle), but again, it's all just speculation right now.
