It was symbolic for me and very necessary to establish EJami is the couple. With all of Sami's waffling back and forth and her history of choosing Rafe, as an EJami fan, I needed that. So thank you, Days. Well,.. I only hope this is the end of the waffling... Oh, I don't have that much faith that it will be the end of the waffling. I do hope it's the end for atleast a little bit. Who knows? My point was more that I needed that partof the scene to kind of even the score a bit between Sami choosing Rafe in the past and now choosing EJ. To me, putting Rafe outside the door and have Sami completely oblivious to him while kissing EJ accomplished that. From my perception, it was the equivalent of having Sami fantasize that Lucas was EJ while waking up and kissing him one morning back in 2008. After EJ being the underdog to Lucas for so long, I remember watching that scene and fist pumping and going "yes! finally!". This was much the same in terms of that feeling.
