Its all messed up this year, but this part of the list has never leaked before so we usually don't get to see this clusterfuck. Michael Muhney leaked this on his own. We usually don't hear anything (unless the actors tell us themselves) until the pre-nominations are released. Both of those list will be narrowed to 10. Then 5 for the real nominations. I obviously can't say for sure, but I don't think the actors so much "choose" their category as that they're pressured into one. I agree the shows probably do some nudging, but this looks like an all out clusterfuck. Y&R cannot want Doug Davidson, Michael Muhney, Peter Bergman, and Christian LeBlanc going head-to-head. They should be split MM and PB in lead. CLB and DD in Supporting. Billy Miller could have went either way. I think Supporting Actor was Doug Davidson's to win this year and he blew it going for Lead. As far as DAYS they probably did tell Joe Mascolo to go for Lead because James Scott is the only real male lead and he decided not to submit. I'm disappointed in everything so far. Hopefully the ladies can save the day because this is looking ugly right now.
