Ericole is going nowhere slowly. Yea, by the time that scene airs, ericole will have been in each others orbit for six or seven months. They should be engaged and possibly awaiting their miracle baby, by then. True. But to be fair, Ericole could be having a steamy affair for a while with Eric still wearing the collar during regular office hours. Part of the story is likely to be the 'forbidden' part - so I suspect he'll be torn about what to do even once he does give in to their inevitable passion.
