I think we all have to cut the show a little slack when it comes to Hope at the moment. They were obviously caught off guard by Peter Reckell's departure (even though it was ages ago, they are three months ahead in taping, and even farther ahead in story planning). And in story terms if she was on alot, people would start asking where Bo is (and Bo is too vital a character to be off-camera babysitting one day, at the post office the next, etc.), and I suspect it took them some time to come up with a reasonable, plausible plot device that might explain why all of a sudden Bo and Hope would stay apart for so long. They're hinting at it already. Whatever it is, it needs to be authentic, and it needs to be gradual. No one would buy that they'd break up for no reason at the drop of the hat. And besides, they had other A-stories to play. I have no doubt that Kristian will be heavily featured again soon. It's just going to take some time.
